POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Yesterday I took mom and dad on a drive to iola for beeswax and honey. We met a kitten named graham cracker and exchanged birth stories with beekeeping friends. Then, Minister lake where the leaves were crunching and the geese were calling. Meanwhile in chicago, my brother turned a year older. And I time traveled all day.

✨️ Menu Placement ✨️ Prairie Clover at @eastviewcoffee

After a long Midwest winter, bees emerge depleted. Their stored honey reserves are low, brood rearing begins again, and colonies urgently need fresh nectar to rebuild strength.

Prairie clover is one of the first abundant, reliable nectar sources available in open Midwestern fields. It becomes an essential early-season energy source and reflects the spirit of spring: renewal.

Selected as their Spring seasonal feature, light and floral Prairie Clover offers a contrast to the punchier flavors of fall. Enjoy in their handcrafted coffee drinks and take home a jar from the cafe!

Today marks 9 years since we hit “publish” on our little Clary dream website.⁣
⁣
And it’s been 4.5 years since we moved production from Nashville to Wisconsin. Jen and I have co-parented Clary through some wild life transitions, and so much has changed. Our sons are now adolescents, a new Clary baby was born and learned to walk, and our friendship has grown another year deeper.⁣
⁣
We experienced some big challenges this year, but also more beautiful interactions with our customers and the small shops that stock us, inspiration from our farmer and beekeeper friends, support from our favorite print shop, and last-minute help from dear friends and family when our sales came in faster than expected. ⁣
⁣
Every day, I am grateful for the chance Clary gives us to make something that nurtures others’ precious bodies in this peaceful place where we are evolving as women, mothers, and friends. On the hardest days life throws at us, we have the flowers, each other, and the dream we keep building to find sweetness and steadiness in. ⁣
⁣
✨Happy birthday to Clary! (up to 30% off now if you want to try some of our magic) ✨⁣
