POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

TONIGHT on a special episode of Cosmic Taco, we celebrate the life and music of one of Oakland’s finest, Mike Fish.

Featuring choice cuts from his heavy discography, along with a couple of unreleased tracks courtesy of @seedless.zero and @trashcanwillie, plus shout-outs and dedications from @birdbennett, @mistercleenmusic, @lilmc.music, Homeboy Sandman, @celadorbeats , @unlearntheworld, @spyderbeatz , @aphixlove , @jeremyokaiart, @kevenbennett , and @el_da_sensei.

Also featuring verses and production by @karenlesshiphop (@kpnupwithkenzie), Mike Walti (@wyldwoodrecording) , @s0rski , @jimmydean17, and more.

Hosted and mixed by Big Papa Warrior of @prehistoricfuturists, a close friend of Fish’s since junior high school in Bend, OR, in recognition of Mike’s character, style, and love of hip hop.

This is an opportunity to hear Mike express himself to the fullest, as well as hear how appreciated he was by his friends and collaborators. Golden age classics will be sampled for all the hip hop lovers out there.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this, and peace to all those who loved and knew Mike.

Tune in TONIGHT at 8 PM PDT on shadypinesradio.com.

It’s finally here… TOP 20 UPCOMING ARTISTS IN THE PNW🌲🔊

Being born and raised in Washington state myself, this one hits close to home. If you don’t know, the Pacific Northwest region includes Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and British Columbia, Canada (I’ll allow Montana and North California too)

A lot of great music and talent gets overlooked in this area, so make sure to tap in with as many names on this list as possible 🤞

Let us know who we missed, and where we should do our next list 👀💬

We’re CLOSED today❄️

One time out of the year, Portland has a string of days that we refer to as, Snowpocalypse. East Coast folks usually laugh at this 😂🙄 and refer the occurrence as a light dusting, as the weatherman describes it as severe for our region. For whatever reason: lack of snowplows, ODOT’s budget, driving skills etc 🤷🏽‍♂️, the roads do get pretty messy! Remember @deandreayton 😮‍💨 For a lot of Portland small businesses, “Snowpocalypse” presents a financial burden, as people stay inside and wait it out. It’s a burden for business owners and staff that may lose out on work hours. You have to account for this, be prepared to use your creativity, and adjust!
In our world, thank you internet. If you’re reading this, make sure to check our IG stories for updates and snow deals 👀 we’ve been waiting to share with you! Thank you for shopping with us ONLINE this snowy weekend, and consciously making the effort to support, not only us, but other small businesses locally! 🏀❤️

You don’t make it 10 years without a community behind you. A group that comes together to not only celebrate each other and the music but to be a part of something bigger.

Thank you to the incredible city behind us. We love you Portland. 🌹

#TheThesis

One of our all time favorite moments of @thethesispdx, was @birdbennett performing his first headlining set, declaring “I used to watch The Thesis outside the fucking window man!” It spoke to the place that he aspired to be and got to, as well as the place The Thesis holds in the hearts of artists from around the Rose City. 🌹

We’re honored and proud we got to rock with one of the city’s finest, Bird Bennett at our 10 year anniversary showcase.

We love you Portland. 🌹

#TheThesis

Our 10 year anniversary showcase will go down as one of the greatest events we ever pulled off. We were honored to collaborate with one of our all time favorite artists, @wavyjosef, to come up with something special for the night, our first ever showdown with Wavy Josef facing off with @birdbennett, another town legend.

For 10 years, we’ve made it our mission to champion the artists of this city. We love you Portland. 🌹
