Good question @birgitputteman (for you it is Q&A Thursday)

Yes, it is ok to work out on an empty stomach and it actually increases the benefits of exercise and fasting.

While fasting your stored carbohydrates (also known as glycogen) are very likely depleted, so you'll be burning more fat to fuel your body during the workout. The downside of it might be that you may not perform as well because your energy is lower.

It is also important to know what workouts to do and when?

During the fast it is best to do mild cardio workouts because they do not require that many carbs.

Heavy weight lifting and high intensity workouts on the other side require more carbs and are better to integrate in your feeding window or right after.

But then again, you should do what feels best for you. There’s lots of trainers that workout fasted and science has already proven the benefits.

The ideal schedule according to several studies is adding a fasted workout in the morning and fueling your body afterwards no later than 2 hours after you finished the workout, but that simply is not doable for me.

I personally always workout fasted early in the morning (with some exceptions) and I only eat around 2-3 pm. I am so used to working out fasted that I am struggling big time when I have to do my workout when my stomach is full.

So yes, FAST and FIT is the 🔑 to succes!

If you wanna be a dragon, be a dragon! 🙌🏻🐉⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Gewoon mijn mooie brows laten zien is voldoende.
