Red Hook, Brooklyn! It’s Hurricane season which means, It’s almost Barnacle Parade Time!

We are plotting, planning and scheming to hold our annual community resilience celebration, on the anniversary of Superstorm Sandy which hit this community and others super hard many moons ago. It’ll be held, as always, on October 29th! So mark your calendars and come to Red Hook on that day to see the magic and feel the love of this amazing, singular neighborhood! There’ll be float(s) food, music, barnacle t shirts and raffle for some amazing winnables!

But first we would love your T shirt design ideas which will be printed on all swag for sale to raise money for our very own Red Hook Mutual Aid!

Theme is fluid and roving but Think:

Nomadic Future, a carnival, a caravan, mad max, steam punk circus, or whatever you want it to be that’s fun and 😎

Design must include “12th Annual Barnacle Parade, Red Hook, Brooklyn, Oct 29, 2024” or some version of.

Submissions to barnacleparade@gmail.com

We need a design ASAP so we can print t shirts, sweatshirts etc! So all you artists out there, won’t you sketch something amazing and send over?! Deadline is Sept 30-Oct 1st!!! I know, I know, that’s like in 4 days! Yup! @redhookbarnacles
