Outcry Collective Worship Night at @treministries!
As one body with one voice, we declared the name of Jesus, and watched God move in a room full of hungry hearts. 🙌

Philippians 2:9–11
“Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow… and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

August 1st will be my last day at tre Ministries. So many emotions. For 5 years, this place has been many things for me. I’ve grown as a leader in ways I didn’t expect. I was given so much grace and learned how to extend that same grace. I was given permission to lead and learned how to give permission to lead. I was encouraged and man, I hope I was encouraging.
After a painful season that resulted in a lot of self-doubt, I found who I was as a worship leader again. I re-discovered strengths I carry and I came alive. I am so, so grateful.
𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐦 𝐈 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠? I love this job. I love leading at the worship nights, I love teaching about worship, I love the young adults who I’ve led and who have led alongside of me. I’ve felt so honored to get to do something I’m passionate about and feel called to do. But… It is time. I’ve wrestled with God about it. He asked me to let go, and even though I didn’t want to, didn’t think I could, didn’t fully know why, I’ve chosen to trust. I’ve taught these principles many times: hold everything open-handed, be willing to move when he says, and “surrender will take you everywhere you need to go.” Now I get to practice what I preach.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭? Idk. No, fr, idk. I was hoping when it was time to exit, there would be an open door waiting for me. But, like the title of my EP coming out soon 👀 I’ll be in 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺. This is where I am combatting the fears: “What if I never get an opportunity like this again?” “What if I never get to do what I love again?” “Am I still a worship leader?” “Will people still care what I have to say?” There’s nothing like 𝘯𝘰𝘵 having a position, title, influential role that forces you to re-evaluate and dip your toes in a momentary existential crisis. “WHO AM I WITHOUT THIS?” Turns out, I’m still Naomi.
So, for now, I will continue writing songs at my piano and work on my master’s in clinical counseling and my mDIV. As well as mom-extraordinaire. Maybe my house will be cleaner now? Thank you, @bischofberven ! Not just for hiring me, but for believing in me, for letting me cry on the job for the first 6 months, for challenging me, and for honoring my family well. 💙
