BVW SUMMER LEAGUE SLIDES 🏀

A lot of talent in the building including defending Kansas 6A champs @olathe_north_high_school

My personal favorite coming into this season is @willxdavis3 - athletic lefty playing for @bvn_mustang_basketball

The game is bigger than just the highlights..

Behind every player is a coach putting in hours, building teams, and creating opportunities.

Had the chance to capture some of the coaches at the Blue Valley West Summer League. A lot of talent, a lot of work, and a lot of basketball happening in KC.

For decades, Coach Rick Zych shaped Bishop Miege basketball through excellence and an unforgettable impact on generations of Stags. We’re excited to celebrate his upcoming induction into the KBCA Hall of Fame on June 20 in Salina!

And this won’t be the only legendary Stag heading into a Hall of Fame this summer… stay tuned. 👀🏀

As you all know, I started my AAU program @kckings.elite years ago and have coached for many years but as my first season as a varsity assistant coach at Bishop Miege High School comes to an end, I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on what this journey has meant to me so far. This season was about so much more than wins and losses- it was about growth, commitment, and the bonds built along the way. To our players: thank you for trusting us, for showing up every day ready to work, and for representing your team, school, and families with pride. Watching you grow as players and young men has been the most rewarding part of this season and l love y’all. To my wife and son: thank you for being my heartbeats/support system and for your patience, love and support for myself and the players during the school season and AAU season. To the parents: thank you for your constant support, encouragement, and for trusting us with your sons. And to our coaching staff (especially @coach_jacob_derritt): I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of this team and program. This season may be over, but the memories, lessons, and relationships will stay with me forever. I’m proud of this group and thankful for my first year on this journey. The best is still ahead. #brotherhood @patrick_photoss_
