DON’T MISS THE LAST HOLY COMMUNIONt OF 2020 !!!!!
Historically most Christians observe the Lord’s Supper also know as Holy Communion or the Holy Eucharist once a month. So we should be excited to come to the table even virtually for the 12th time this year.

11 months which were mostly horrible with all that we encountered are behind us !

We are in the countdown of 2020 with les than 30 days left in this year. WE MUST FINISH STRONG AND START FRESH !!!

Corinthians 11:23-26

Institution of the Lord’s Supper

23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, [a]“Take, eat; this is My body which is [b]broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.

According to the bible, Christians, partake of Holy Communion in remembrance of the body and blood of Jesus that was broken and poured at the cross. Taking Holy Communion does not only remind us of his suffering but also shows us the amount of love Jesus had for us. We should all go in retrospect and examine our lives to make sure we haven’t wronged any since the last time we partook and REPENT !

Communion is a way for Christians to say 'thank you' to God for Jesus' life and death.

Besides being born again in Christ, Holy Communion is God's ordained channel of healing and wholeness. He knew what He would accomplish through His sacrifice on the cross. Jesus wanted us conscious of how His body was broken so we could be made whole, and His blood was shed for the forgiveness of our sins. ( Isaiah 53). The scriptures suggest that people who don’t take communion could be plagued with sickness or even death . Communion is another act that symbolically gives us divine protection and health .

IT’S OK TO TAKE COMMUNION AT HOME ?

I have had a lot of people over the years ask me what I thought about taking communion

I went at 8:30 a.m......well at 3:45 p.m. they called and said I was NEGATIVE for COVID -19 !!! Glory to God!!! I still have to stay quarantined till Monday when I go for my 14th day test. But by his stripes, I am healed 😀!!! Keep praying and praising God...respond to this post “it’s already looking better! “ +LDT

From the leaders of Sweet Holy Spirit Church (Chicago, Illinois)....On this evening during the conference call of leaders for the Sweet Holy Spirit Church, Bishop Larry Trotter informed us that he tested positive this afternoon for COVID-19.

While we were deeply saddened to hear this, we were yet enouraged that our pastor was in great spirits and looked exceptionally well. He has experienced very few sysmptons and has expressed complete confidence that within 14 days that the Lord allow him to return to the pulpit via virtual services.

Moreover the Bishop is encouraging and advocating to the body of Christ the importance of getting tested.

During this entire pandemic he has always advocated to the general public as well as to the Sweet Holy Spirit membership the importance of being tested. We thank God that he took that approach for himself and we are confident as well of his healing.
Please keep our Pastor in your thoughts and prayers. For we know that "By His Stripes, Bishop Trotter is already Healed"

Many will never know what it feels like as a pastor not to be able to touch and love on those that God has trusted you with as they go through rough times in their lives. It’s hard for me to watch families grieving, sick, mentally distressed, depressed, mourning (not just because of Corona), spiritually depleted and can’t sit with them and love on them like I was able to a few months ago!! Yes the church building is doing ok, certainly not where we want to be. Thank you have been giving and to me. My heart BLEEDS about not being able to have proper home goings (funerals) at the church. I want to apologize to the KEEVY FAMILY(Karla), the RAY family in the loss of MINISTER PAT (especially to Esther and Shawanna) to the Dunigan/Goodwin Families (Jokia age 19) and to Deacon Les Colbert and family in the loss of our dear (Mama Jean) I will be at the services !!!!! I love and miss our church family. It’s nothing like being who I am to those that God trusted me with for over 38 years. I Love My Church and God’s People everywhere!! I’ve lost dozens of friends across the world but I know God’s going make it alright and what’s to come is still better than what’s been! +LDT
