POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It’s been a week since #NECANN and it’s been a nice week of recovery since all the fun 🧖‍♀️

Pulling off this partnership and contributing to this event really made me think about partnership in cannabis.

I think one of the things we’ve all seen over and over in this space is how often partnerships don’t work. A lot of this industry moves so fast in the beginning, hence the whole “green rush,” I find that people that sometimes go into business together rarely have the time to understand each other’s values, work styles, expectations, or even whether they were truly aligned on the same objective.

There can also be a really predatory nature to this space, and sometimes people just aren’t aligned in the ways that matter. So honestly, I’m not surprised that so many of the partnerships I’ve witnessed over the years haven’t lasted.

At the same time, this is a very hard business to do alone and in my case, it’s even harder to do business half broken lol.

So when I was given the opportunity to keep building out this new media and strategy company, I knew I could not do it by myself.

There were months of planning behind this. Meetings, logistics, production, content development, problem solving, moving resources around and everyone being patient with my very military way of organizing things lol.

But what made it work was that everyone understood the objective. We were there to add value to the people attending NECANN New Jersey, and that stayed at the center of everything we did.

The whole experience reminded me a lot of the military. We would be given these huge missions with very small teams and were expected to be resourceful, creative and figure it out.

That part has always come naturally to me.

So I found some fire creatives, some vets, some really dope women, and some people who genuinely cared about the work, and together we were able to contribute something really special to the event.

I’m very grateful for this small but mighty team. Some from near and far. I may have had the vision, but there is no way I could have pulled it off without the people standing beside me.

Thank you for your magic 🫶🏾🙏🏾🪄

Coffee should feel like home, what we consume daily should be more than just short lived rushes of energy.

If you’re going to do something every day, it should have a lasting positive impact. Align what may seem like a simple routine with community, change and connection.

I am BAND 4RM TV.
Big shout out to @bisunmedia for the incredible edit.
(Didn’t even ask for it 💯🔥🤞🏽) I’ve been making some moves behind the scenes and taking the proper steps to improve as an artist all around, and I can’t wait to share all the work I’ve done. I was humbled in a big way last year, and I can’t thank god enough for it. I learned to stay out the way when it matters and practice patience in every aspect of my life / career. I hope this resonates the way it’s meant! 🙌🏽🫶🏽🤞🏽😎🌞🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶 #hardwork #play #life #humbled #beginning
