A new brand of holds, MACRO, is entering the market, built around fiberglass production—a material that ensures durability, lightness, and precision of detail. Behind the project is an experienced shaper who combines many years of climbing practice with an artistic background and experience gained as the co-founder and lead designer of secret.holds The result is a collection of shapes refined both in terms of ergonomics and aesthetics, responding to the needs of modern routesetting. For now, you can find a modest portfolio here: https://owkeeholds.com/ Wall: @westbouldering Photos: @lucasjank Climbing: @mikolaj_golab @biszon_shaper #newbrand #DNAholds #climbingholds #routesetting #fiberglass

🪚 SHAPING 🪚 (part 1 of how are climbing holds make in Secret Holds factory) IDEA💡 Before each an every hold is beeing made there comes an idea. Sometimes it starts from something small like one shape. An inspiration is oftentimes born in discussion or observation. And then it needs to link to bigger picture. In Secret Holds we have philosophy for portfolio: Minimum families, plenty holds to choose. When somehing is functionally and beautfiully made routesetters and climbers find it more interesting to set&climb. We believe more holds in family is always better and improves quality of #routesetting SHAPING 🪚 This is hard job which requires special skills and plenty of experience! That’s why people like @biszon_shaper with formal education in arts and with more than two decades of climbing experience can do the job right. Single #climbinghold is made from carefully selected pieces of rigid foams which are extremely fragile INDUSTRIAL DESIGN 🏭 Last but not least each shape needs to meet industry standards. So the design of a shape needs to include details of screw and bolts placement, but as well ergonomics and feasibility to be manufactured in our factory Picture of @biszon_shaper in our shaping workshop in Warsaw 2024 preparing shapes for new COMP line Photography taken casually by visiting friend photographer: @slackjaro 📸 #climbing #shaping #shapingholds #secretholds #manatwork #routesetter #routesettersofinstagram #climbingholds #climbinginspiration #bouldering #bouldern #wspinanie #climber #klettern #klettergriffe #arrampicata #klimmen #blackandwhite #climbingphotography
