PLAYDATE — Edition Five

An ongoing series where creatives enter the e404 space to experiment and play, guided only by the space & our pieces.

Our fifth edition welcomes stylist Hannah Rowell (Virgo Sun, Aries Moon, Capricorn Rising). 🎩 Hannah, styled by Hannah, shot by @moanabarnard

As we begin to play…we ask 4 questions:

1. What do you think we will see people wearing this Spring/Summer?
I think we are going to be seeing a lot of sheer layering, think sexy but tasteful!!! Lots of unexpected colour combinations and sporty and femme styled together.

2. What are you currently inspired by?
I’m really inspired by random colour combinations in nature - fish, butterflies birds, flowers, insects. I love playing with texture, pattern and proportion, particularly when contrasting things that initially feel like they shouldn’t work together. I’m drawn to styling that feels layered, tactile and slightly unexpected, but still has a sense of harmony. I think the most exciting styling happens when there’s a little bit of playfulness and surprise.

3. What was your favourite piece to style on our date?
I loved styling the Ben Doctor Skirt, it’s such a fun and flirty piece. And I just love Ben Doctor (@ben.doctor)!

4. Must-have styling piece?
Shoes and the perfect sock/stocking combination. I love how the right pairing can make an outfit feel so much more fun and elevated, and completely change the feeling of a look. And anyone who knows me knows I love a funny little hat, the weirder the better!
