Sadly, I wasn’t able to make it out to our annual block party this year but as I approach a milestone birthday, I felt in my heart to write this Before all of my success whether it was Amy Winehouse, George Clinton/Parliament-Funkadelic, Morris Day & The Time and so many groundbreaking accomplishments….IT STARTS HERE I never compromised I never folded And most importantly, I NEVER CHANGED Those just few of the reasons that I can ALLLLWAYS come back home and have nothing to prove…EVERYBODY CAN’T SAY OR DO THAT My hood celebrated me since I was a kid doing this music shit from doing talent shows in PS 289 to breakdancing/ doing Michael Jackson outside to battling in rhyme ciphers to certified hip-hop legends like @realkillahpriest and @queenpenbk chilling on my stoop and….ALL WHILE SINGING SOLO AND CHOIR IN MY GRANDMA’S AND UNCLE’S CHURCH !! like the kids say now….I BEEN OUTSIDE !!!!! And if its one thing I did do for my community besides becoming a school teacher as my music career began to progress, I SHOWED THAT IT WAS POSSIBLE TO LIVE YOUR DREAMS AND MAKE IT OUT Its in my blood….Its my DNA Its in every bar I spit when I rhyme and definitely in the way I hustled to make my dream of doing music full time come true and with the grand exceptions of my legendary cousin Cint City & Big Brother Casino Chip, My late big brother in rhyme Half-A-Mill, The greatest DJ in the world @djscratch, the late great DJ Clark Kent and my little cousin @david.flat.sparks who I taught and raised in Hip-Hop culture, I’M DEFINITELY ONE OF THE ONES WHO PUT MY SMA/CROWN HEIGHTS BLOCK ON THE MAP !!! had my London/Australian fans screaming out “Saint Marks Ave” at my shows before I even sang a note or spit a verse Bottom line YOU CAN’T TALK ABOUT SMA HISTORY AND NOT MENTION MY FUCKIN NAME Opinions can vary BUT FACTS ARE FACTS ! My Name Is Lawrence Taylor Worrell Jr aka L*A*W and I am a certified young OG from the streets of Crown Heights aka Crime Heights Brooklyn 959 Saint Marks Ave between Albany And Kingston TO BE EXACT !!! “Brooklyn !!!” Single Release COMING SOON !!! #Planet12Law #Brooklyn #CrownHeights #StMarksAve #TheMostTalentedKidInTheMusicBiz
