SHOW STOPPERS!

We’re thrilled to see Uptown Players featured in this week’s Dallas Voice, with Rich Lopez shining a spotlight on both of our season-finale productions — Application Pending and Mother Play — plus B.J. Cleveland taking over the cover!

Two shows. Two stages. Two completely different theatrical experiences.

😂 APPLICATION PENDING — B.J. Cleveland takes on an astonishing 44 characters in this fast-paced one-man comedy, finally getting the live audience this show was missing when we first presented it virtually during the pandemic.

❤️ MOTHER PLAY — Opening tonight, Pulitzer Prize-winner Paula Vogel’s deeply personal and moving family drama makes its regional premiere, following a mother and her two children through more than 60 years of resilience, laughter, heartbreak and love.

Pick up this week’s Dallas Voice or use the link in our bio to read the digital edition to check out the full feature — and then come experience these two very different shows for yourself.

Both productions run ONLY through August 30 at Theatre Three.

See one. See both. Just don’t miss them.

It’s very rare in theatre to be able to revisit your characters. Thanks to the generosity and belief in our vision, Dallas’ Uptown Players has given us that opportunity by putting SILVER FOXES 2 in their ‘26-‘27 season. Road trip next summer anyone?

In the town of UP… things got a little wild in the woods. 🌲

The Three Bears may have traded porridge for leather, the Big Bad Wolf is looking suspiciously charming, and Snow White seems to have found herself very close to Bashful… though we’re not entirely convinced he’s living up to his name. 👀

Meanwhile, Cinderella is still dreaming of a better tomorrow... and possibly wondering why everyone else got a makeover first.

In Broadway Our Way: Fractured Fairy Tales, every storybook character is searching for the legendary Key to Happiness… but getting there? That’s where the chaos begins.

4 performances only:
Tonight, Friday, Saturday at 8:00 PM and Sunday at 2:00 PM
Arrive early, grab a drink and meet your fairy godmother!

Cleaning out some things and found them gem. ❤️❤️ That time I was the swing for 4 roles and went on a least once for each of them. I don't think I could remember all that now. 😬 #tlyaw #theatreissmysport #dfwtheatre #oldiebutgoodie #musicaltheatre
