💫 Feed Your Future at #TerraMadre2026 | Turin. On 25 September, the Feed Your Future project took center stage with the session “Nourishing Tomorrow: Young People, Culture and Food Sustainability”, exploring how art can become a powerful tool for change by engaging young people and communities in food sustainability and climate action. During the event, we shared the experiences and outcomes of the "Arts Feed Collective Residencies", looked back at last year’s School of Artivism, and premiered the trailer for “Urban Bites”, another Feed Your Future initiative which promoted street art performances in cities across Europe. Participants also had the opportunity to visit a small exhibition featuring artworks developed during the residencies, including works by artists @yl.seilune, and @olya_sosiura . A big thank to Slow Food for this wonderful opportunity of international exchange at Terra Madre 2026. Want to know more? Following their residency in May, artists Maya Aghniadis (Flugen) @flugen.music and Joana Amora @amoramamora present “Invisible Grounds”, an exhibition exploring the people, practices, memories and relationships that shape the landscape. Through farms, food networks, olive trees, sound and image, their works reveal the connections between people, plants and place. Maya Aghniadis’s Silent Witnesses (Al Samitoun / الصامتون) is a sound-led installation exploring the uprooting of olive trees and the silenced voices and stories of the Mediterranean. Through cyanotypes, moving images and sound, the work reflects on rootedness, resistance and collective memory. Joana Amora’s Gıda Toplulukları (Food Communities) explores the local food system through a two-channel film featuring ecological farmers and their farms in the İzmir and Urla region, alongside photographs of local foods found in ecological bazaars. ✨ Barcelona Exhibition Recap ✨ As part of Exhibition #4 of the MATCH project, artists Nafsika Hadjichristou @alloikosmoi and Hannah Taylor @hannah.rebekah.art shared the outcomes of their residencies at La Escocesa in Barcelona. Nafsika Hadjichristou presented an audiovisual piece developed from conversations, drawings, collages and collective imaginaries gathered during her residency, exploring collective imagination, climate change, deep time and the living world. Hannah Taylor held an open studio presenting her research into the relationships between soils, metals and Mediterranean plants, bringing together discarded materials, spontaneous vegetation, contaminated urban soils and phytoremediation plants. Both events offered an opportunity to discover the artists’ research and creative processes and to engage with their work through screenings, exhibitions and hands-on experimentation. So glad to be joining “Nourishing Tomorrow: Young People, Culture and Food Sustainability” as a guest speaker at Terra Madre Salone del Gusto 2026, on 25 September in Turin. My journey with Feed Your Future began last year with Urban Bites, where we developed Rooted Rituals: Reconnecting Body, Land, and Food Systems in Milan. This year, it continued through the Art Feeds Collective Residencies in Brașov, where I spent two weeks exploring soil as a space for memory, imagination and connection. During the session, I’ll share some reflections from this journey and present two works developed during the Brașov residency: • 12-Day Archive / Tracing Soil, Memory, and Encounters in Brașov • Soil Sketch / Listening, Drawing and Imagining Soil in Brașov I’ll also bring along the Rooted Rituals fanzine created during last year’s Urban Bites project, connecting these different moments of the project through the materials, encounters and stories that emerged along the way. Looking forward to reflecting together on how participatory and creative practices can open up new ways of thinking about food, culture and sustainability! 📅 25 September 2026, 17:30 📍 Museo Nazionale del Risorgimento Italiano, Turin Discover more and register via the link in bio. See you soon in Turin! 🌱 - The session is part of the @feedyourfutureproject - Creative Europe project, coordinated by the @comune_milano (@foodpolicymi – @milanurbanfoodpolicypact), with @bjcem_aisbl, @xarkis__, @actionaidhellas, @gemeente.almere , @ied_barcelona, @metropolabv and @rededlbclisboa. #FeedYourFuture #CreativeEurope #TerraMadre2026 #FoodDesign #FoodSustainability
