“I’ve rested it… so why does it still hurt?” 👀 Sometimes the thing that sets off your pain isn’t actually the whole story. You bend down, pick something up, twist, go for a run… and suddenly 😱 But sometimes that movement is just the straw that broke the camel’s back. There might have been a bit of a build-up beforehand that you didn’t really notice — more training 👀, less recovery (yes I’m looking at you!!!!), lots of sitting, poor sleep, stress, doing more than usual… Then one pretty normal movement is the thing that finally starts the fire. Research around training load and injury suggests that it’s not always about one isolated session or movement, but the relationship between the load you’re exposed to and what your body is currently able to tolerate. (Eckard et al., 2018) And pain isn’t just about what’s happening in one muscle or joint either. Physical, psychological and social factors can all play a role in the development and persistence of musculoskeletal pain. With summer fast approaching it only seems right to start doing my market research to find my pink drink of the season … @bowlgrabber was an excellent place to start. A first for English wine (as far as we know) 🚨 Sparkling wine from England is now on tap and we’re incredibly proud to say that our innovative idea has been a success 🥂 • • So what is it? This is our Col Fondo which is currently exclusively available at @terroirtapas in Southbourne. The wine is 100% Pinot Noir from 2019 and the term Col Fondo refers to the production technique. Col Fondo is a traditional Italian sparkling wine which is served cloudy and with the ‘lees’. Col Fondo translates to ‘with the bottom’ or ‘with the foot’ which means that the sediment is still in the bottle, or in this case, the keg. Unlike traditional method fizz, Col Fondo tends to be lower pressure, like Frizzante 🍾 • • The idea behind this project was to find a way to extend our brand into something that was not only fun and accessible, but also more environmentally friendly. Thanks to @keykegs for letting us trial this idea. A pleasantly delicate, fizzy facade with enough dry, ripe red berry superpowers to save the day like Diana Prince. A truly kick ass rosé from a badass, winemaking wonder wom-Anne!
