POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It’s hard to put into words the memories, stories, and wisdom these alumni carry. Every story holds a piece of history, and every perspective is a reminder of just how important these experiences are.

One piece of advice from this project feels especially worth carrying:

“Take everything slower. Deeper breaths, and just really really live in the moment.” - Victoria Prince

This Homecoming we implore you to remember, and listen to the voices of those that came before us.

Homecoming week is special, not just for the students experiencing it now, but for the alumni who get to look back, reconnect, and relive a piece of their own story.

No matter how much time passes, some memories will always bring you home. 💚🌈

We could write a novel about how important @kanoekamanao was to the University of Hawai‘i Women’s Volleyball program, and still not come close to doing her legacy justice.

Her accomplishments speak for themselves and, like Leonard Peters, Kanoe is the kind of alumni who reminds us why Homecoming matters.

It’s more than coming back to campus. It’s about people coming together, and honoring the people who helped shape this place, and all of Hawaii. This is what Homecoming is about!

Next Friday, October 16th, we come together to celebrate that legacy, reconnect with our community, and make a little history of our own. Hope to see you there! #gobows 💚🌈

With Homecoming 2026 just around the corner, we’re looking back at a few alumni who helped make UH Hawaiʻi’s home team, a source of pride, a sense of home, and a spirit that runs deep across the Aloha State.

Leonard Peters is one of those alumni.

His time at the University of Hawaiʻi was one of the most successful and exciting eras not only for the school, but for all of Hawaiʻi.

Hearing his stories is a great reminder of what Homecoming is really about! Celebrating where we come from, the people who shaped UH, and the memories that bring us all back together.

Now it’s our turn to celebrate. Join us Friday, October 16th, as we bring that same Homecoming spirit to life. 💚🌈 #gobows
