There are 2 truths about mirrors. The first truth is sometimes you love what you see, others you choose to pick out your flaws and shortcomings.

The second truth? Mirrors can be emotional conversations, moments in history that are doomed to repeat themselves, an uncomfortable feeling you get when confronted with a life altering event, people.

So what’s the point? I’m trying not to be so hard on myself. I’m trying to be kind and empathetic to those who choose to use me as a mirror. Most importantly, I’m aware when I’m staring into one and I’m trying study the reflection just a bit better.

Ramble ramble ramble, I get it, but 18 year old Andrew Brown would be proud of the man I am today. That’s all that matters anyways.

I consider myself a dreamer. I believe Dave Chapelle said it best. As dreamers, we have to be aware of when we are living in our dreams vs. when we are living in someone else’s. It’s a tough skill to learn.

I love recognizing when I’m living in someone else’s dream, because sometimes, it takes the pressure off of life and allows me to just exist. Maybe one day I won’t feel pressured when I realize I’m living my dream. Man, that would be awesome.

For now, we ball.

Got 2 shows coming up this month that I will be apart of 👀. First show is July 19th @thebigdirty.live tickets are $10 online or hmu for physical tickets 21+. 2nd show will be July 26th @255madison . This one is a free show and will be looking for school supply donations for the upcoming school year! It’s gonna be a great time!
