BKD Bagels was such a good find 🥯🤍 The bagels were fresh, the sandwiches were loaded, and everything we tried was so yummy.

They have locations around Northern Virginia too, so definitely add this one to your NOVA food list. 👀

Have you tried BKD Bagels yet?

SUPPORT LOCAL

Emmy has been working SO hard on her Reflections contest project for @aes.pta

This year’s theme is “What My Culture Means to Me.”

And from the beginning, we decided this was going to be her project. We’ve explained things when she’s had questions, but otherwise? Full creative control.

She decided she wanted to use photography.

Awesome. Fully dive in, kiddo.

She picked out a bright pink poster board (because obviously), decided what she wanted to photograph, and today we spent a LOT of time walking around downtown Leesburg while she took picture after picture after picture.

And I think my favorite part has been watching how my little kindergartener interprets the word culture.

What does her culture look like?

What are the places, people, traditions, experiences, and little pieces of everyday life that make her feel like her?

There’s something incredibly special about handing a five-year-old a camera and essentially saying, “Show me your world.”

And then letting her show you. 🥹

I cannot wait to see how she puts it all together on that very pink poster board.

Whatever the finished project looks like, I already love that every piece of it is so completely, wonderfully Emmy!

Dating on the go! ❤️ We grabbed breakfast, enjoyed each other’s company, and now softball is calling! 🥎

The date doesn’t have to end just because the schedule is full. Wherever we’re headed, we’re still dating! 🍯

Happy Saturday 😍🥰🫶🏾
