Good Wednesday morning everyone! My “wheels up” #42 takes me to the beautiful campus of NMSU, where we are officially starting the fall semester today.
I’m so grateful for a full summer of touring, writing, and consulting, but I’m really looking forward to kicking off the NMSU percussion studio, and working with the music educators in Las Cruces!

More updates/fun announcements coming soon, but for now, let’s all have the best semester yet!

I am so thankful I chose to spend my entire summer teaching entirely too much band. How lucky am I that I get to do what I love every single day? I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Blue Knights 2026:
I will forever be grateful for this group of people. When I began this season, I was nervous that I wasn’t going to belong or fit in with the people around me and I couldn’t have been more wrong. Every single person I met in this group became my friend and was amazing to be around and arguably one of the best groups I have ever been apart of.
BKFE, you guys are incredible people who all are unique and awesome in different ways. I have an amazing relationship with every one of you and I am so grateful for the people that you are. I will miss playing the lot tunes with you guys and always remember the hard work and dedication we put in throughout the season. Best of all, we all know what the FE stands for.

☁️ I've seen the clouds from both sides, now.

The activity that brought me everything is over. If I hadn't stumbled into rehearsal with @jmhs_pit back in 2019, I don't know where I'd be or what I'd be doing now.

I had the pleasure this summer of playing with the best pit I've ever been in. Sixteen friendly and hardworking people were entirely ready to work, play, and create memories with me.

I don't think I could've asked for a single thing more. And I can't say much more other than this:

I go on.
I love you, baby.

BLUE KNIGHTS 2026 DAY 72: I’m so incredibly grateful for this group of human beings. Everyone here has a special place in my heart for how incredible I was treated by everyone.

Blue Knights: You gave me an experience that I gained so much experience from. I love every person in this group and if I could march with you all again, I would 100% of the time. This is a community of not only excellence, but a community of joy, dedication and passion. I love you all.

BKFE: This front ensemble is so incredibly rare in the fact that every single person not only loved each other, but accepted each other for our quirks. As someone that has had trouble fitting into places in the past, I felt that this front ensemble welcomed me with open arms and accepted me for who I was. I felt that out of all my marching experience, I got to be the most like myself with all of you. So damn grateful for you all.

To all of my world class instructors, you guys have changed my life with the instruction and life lessons you gave me. I took so much more from my season than just playing my instrument which is something that not everyone gets to say.
It was an honor to be apart of this group.
Love yall.
Overall a solid 10/10 Day
