This year has taught me a lot about who I am as a person. I’ve grown in ways I never thought I would, loved harder than I ever thought possible, went through more than I ever imagined I would. I love all the people I’m entering the New Year with, especially my husband. He and I went through some trying times, but we’ve made it through. I’m excited to see where this next year takes us. This next year I’m really trying to focus on improving my mental and physical health. Very excited/curious/scared/nervous about what that all entails but we’ll see.

Goodbye, 2018! You were an extraordinary one. Let’s hope that 2019 will be a rewarding one filled with happiness, great/improved health and success for us all. Thanks to all of who beautiful souls who helped make this year an extraordinary for me. To Ashka: There was no one more deserving or fitting to portray Lutiebelle Gussie Mae Jenkins than you. You are the sweetest and so talented. I hope this is the first of many lead roles for you.

To Rachel: I never would have none this was your Theatre debut! You’re so gifted and talented. There’s no better Rachel or Idella than you. It was amazing to watch your performances in rehearsals.
To LeRohn and Travez: Y’all ain’t no joke! The comedic timing (whether intentional or not) is untouchable. Your dance and music skills are outrageous. Everything you do is clean and original. I hope this isn’t the last I work with you!
To Mike: Mikey!! You killed it. You portrayed Gitlow like no other has and improve skills that are extraordinary. Wish I could have seen you perform Skinnin’ A Cat and The Harder They Fall (Reprise). 😭 You’ve got a lifetime fan in me!
To Taylor M.: Girl you can SANG and improv too! I hope you continue your theatre journey. Thank you for being so you 25/8. You keep it real. 🙏

To Henry: Keep on keepin’ on, brother!! Your "Charlie" (like Mike’s "Gitlow") was like no other - I look forward to seeing what roles you’ll portray in the future. Thank you for being a part of this production and thank you for being you.
To George: I don’t think there could have been a better Ol’ Cap’n. You played the heck out of this part! I enjoyed working with you and seeing you perform during rehearsals (and your audition as well). To Grant: When I say you are Purlie Victorious I mean it!! It was an honor to work with you Dr. B Grant.
To Virlika: You’re such a strong performer and lovely soul. So glad the universe connected us. I learned SO much from you. You and Jerzi are absolute sweethearts!
To Stephen and Ken: You two are so amazing, original and creativity. There’s no one quite like y’all!

A few of the amazing ensemble members of @magnolia_arts_center ‘s Production of "Purlie" and I. These photos were taken by @drum_master1 on @whitakerayven’s iPhone while we waited for our remaining cues. Shoutout to LeRohn for being our selfie stick and Rayven for sacrificing her limited iPhone storage. Y’all the real MVPs. I truly miss hanging out and working with everyone (except for Rayven because I’m sitting next to her right now. Literally. We share a room.)! 😭🙏 Breaking my thread to share the following photos because I love them so much. And I’m beyond tired of my tired "no theme" theme. 😂 Imma be posting here more often folks - be prepared. 😉
