Every great story begins with a conversation.

Following four hours of brainstorming, storyboarding, and generating, my team, Strong Storytellers @lifeofdanji @blackastromedia , completed Our Heritage which is our official submission for the GenJam Director's Cup 2026, as one of the groups representing Team Nigeria.

Our Heritage explores the importance of preserving African traditions through the relationship between an elder storyteller and a young listener. It reflects on how stories, values, and history are passed from one generation to the next, ensuring that cultural identity continues to live on. By combining traditional storytelling with AI-powered filmmaking, the project reimagines an age-old practice through a contemporary creative medium while remaining rooted in authenticity.

Grateful to have collaborated with an incredible team of storytellers to bring this vision to life, and excited to share it with the global creative community.
