Get yer walking dead pirate suits out and let’s be havin’ ya! A spooky treat in store for us all as folk-rock heroes Blackbeard’s Tea Party are here to rock your Halloween!

Hold on to your tri-corn hats and get ready to stamp your wooden legs – Blackbeard’s Tea Party are in town. Sea-shanties are given a bombastic rock edge, and folk instrumentals become late-night floor-fillers when this raucous bunch of reprobates hit the stage

We wondered what would happen if we just gave camera’s to the audience? To creatively capture the moment, but using something that can’t give you a notification. I think these photos convey how much fun we all had. 🌻❤️

Hi everyone! My name is Ciara and I am doing the Folk Ensemble takeover today for our very own one day festival - Power Folk 2026

By day I’m a classical pianist in my second year at the conservatoire, but by night (or at least Tuesday night) I’m a soprano saxophone player in the folk ensemble. I’ll be bringing you with me today to see all of the amazing bands playing today. I’ll be in the stories keeping you all updated.

Your line up (if you missed it somehow) is:
@blackbeardstp
@theufq
@goodhabitsband
@tomchapmanmusicuk
The Woodman Session
@pottsmusic and Jammin
Selectah Si Chai @chaiwallahs
University of Birmingham Folk Band @unimusicbirmingham

It’s going to be great, and I’ll be documenting the day if you aren’t able to make it today. You’ll have to keep an eye out for tickets next year!
