I still can’t comprehend what happened.
Current and future generations have lost a role model and a brilliant mind.
The fact that Gianna was on the helicopter makes it so much worse.
My brain shuts the topic off when I come to think about the fact that his wife, Vanessa, and their other 3 beautiful daughters have to process losing their husband/father and daughter/sister.
I am deeply hurt and weird as it may sound, I feel the need for closure, although I know I am probably never going to get it.
Kobe was a pivotal part of my development, both in basketball and in life in general. I took the lessons I’ve learned from him and insights I got into his mind outside the court and incorporated them into my mentality, in my way of perceiving everything around me and in working for my dreams.
The most valuable lesson that I’ve learned from him was to find the value in defeat. In every apparent shortcoming there are lessons to be learned that prepare you for bigger battles that lie ahead.
This frustration that I feel right now stems from the fact that we will never get to witness what would have been Kobe’s “just as meaningful second act”, as pres. Obama put it.
All we can do now is honor his legacy by identifying goals worth striving for and by constantly pushing the limits of our comfort zone in pursuit of them.
At least I know I will do that with increasingly fierce determination and I hope that will bring me peace.

Rest in Peace Kobe! 🙏🏼
Rest in Peace Gigi! 🙏🏼
Rest in Peace to all the other victims of the crash (John, Kerri and Alyssa Altobelli, Sarah and Payton Chester, Christina Mauser, Ara Zobayan) 🙏🏼 Mamba Forever

Antwerp 2021 w/ @inscez

We did not get the result we wanted, having won 2 out of 4 games, but this tournament was fun! 🤘🏼

This shortcoming will turn into additional motivation to improve and evolve.

That in turn will enable me to meet the next opportunity with poise and increased confidence.

It's me and the bros, it's no extra guys
And they movin' weight, it's no exercise
We can pick a day to come stretch you out ❌
Only showing muscle when it's 💪🏼 flexing time
You can see the hustle

Our run ended in the quarter finals this year, but it felt really good competing with my guys again 🔥🔥got a lot of motivation to improve and come back next season smarter, stronger and hungrier for that #1 spot 😤

That @ionut_baluta game winner from the last slide from @stangacho ‘s pass after he fell down and had 2 people on him was the play of the tournament if you ask me 🤷🏼‍♂️

“Somebody told me when I was small
That the pride cometh right before the fall.

Lost a battle.. it's still a war ☝🏼
I'ma steal the 🐮cattle🐄,
then 🔥burn the farm 🔥
We could travel, but the journey long
I prefer to get our [growth] on”

Let me tell y'all a story of a hometown Success-Chasing story brought to life by some of my homies from Rădăuți, Romania 🇷🇴

As I started playing basketball as a kid,
@alexsickfish and @emanuelliviu were the bigger guys,
being 1+ years older than me.

Each game against them was bound to be a chance to sharpen my skills and each one on the same squad a reason to celebrate.

So ever since highschool (2009/2013) the idea of getting a tattoo has been floating around in my head. But I didn't know exactly what to get. Meanwhile, da homies became artists:

@alexsickfish picked up the tattoo gun: and
@emanuelliviu started being nice on the camera

I got around to finally knowing what tattoo I want to get
in 2020, after graduating uni,
after my time in NY,
after I had the chance to adjust to living with Type 1 Diabetes, having been familiar with it for 3 years at that point.

Came up with this concept of something small, but meaningful.

The 🔵blue circle is the international symbol for diabetes awareness and I've got "T 1 D", written under it.

One rationale is to potentially signal to medical personnel if I'm ever unconscious that one factor to take into consideration is my condition and the medication I'm taking or I might be needing.

Another is to keep me grounded in my daily life,
to remind me to constantly try to live a balanced and joyful lifestyle and also for me to not get too ahead of myself on the basketball court.

Even if the game gets too intense and draws me in, I have to pause from time to time and check my blood sugar, so that it doesn't drop too low.

Staying close to basketball definitely helped me keep Diabetes in check both physically and mentally.

Nothing has changed - I stay getting buckets 👌👌👌

It's the hard times of one's life that refresh and enlarge the scope and focus of our appreciation for the people, moments and things that truly matter.

The trick is to stay committed to the vision, hang on and action on small steps that will make the end goal more visible through the fog of doubt, distractions and episodes when the motivation is lacking.

To all of you out there pursuing a bigger goal than what is currently going on in your life - I admire you and I am rooting for you.

👏🏼YOU👏🏼GOT👏🏼THIS‼️

Complacency will poison you, make you numb and in time you will get lost.

Appreciate how far you've come, but don't settle.

Keep pushing the limits of what you think you're capable of.

Paso corto, vista larga.
(Short steps, long vision)

Drop a comment or DM me if you want to state your goal, talk about it or just want to share some ideas that might inspire someone on their own journey.
