This week, a double report. From home turf to Rome. Firstly today’s game…

An unusually high scoring game at Haggerston Park in what was a see-saw encounter. The colours raced into a 2-0 lead, but the yellows soon came back to lead 3-2. The game continued in that vein up to a scoreline of 8-8 with precision shooting all round. The yellows were too strong in the end with two late goals to finish 10-8. Honourable mention goes to Kayode with 5 goals but the MOTM gong went to Neil with an assured performance at the back and a 35-yard wonder strike.

Over in Italy a contingent of Hotshots were out for the long planned and finally realised Rome Tour 26. Much, culture, much wine, much merriment and laughs. A brilliant performance by all. You lot really are the best of people! Rome MOTM - Valerio. #haggerstonhotshots #sundayfootball #haggerstonparkfootball

A comfortable 4-0 win for the colours on what started as a hot and humid day before the rain came.
Slick passing and moving and a couple of keeper errors helped establish a 2-0 lead. The yellows huffed and puffed to get back into the game but colours defended well and broke a couple of times to put the game away. MOTM was pre game recruit Cris who was ace in goal and contributed with a couple of assists with lovely long balls pinged to feet. #haggerstonhotshots #haggerstonparkfootball #sundayfootball

A 2-1 win for the Colours in an enjoyable, end-to-end encounter. The victors took the lead in a goal-mouth scramble before the Yellows equalised in a similarly slapdash way. Both sides traded chances, the Colours one-on-one, the Yellows rattling the woodwork before Lanre got the winner. MotM was HotShots alumnus, Barry O’Reilly back from the Philiipines for the weekend! #haggerstonhotshots #haggerstonparkfootball #sundayfootball

A nine goal thriller saw the colours win 5-4! Close as it comes, a lot on the score sheet today but Sonny takes ten Georgios Manginas trophy for a wonderful hat trick! #haggerstonhotshots #haggerstonparkfootball #sundayfootball

4-2 to the shirts on a heater of a day. Good efforts all around and yellows looked top quality but colours on the break game was v well done alongside some superb play. Sparks with a hat-trick won him the Georgios Manginas trophy 🏆 #sundayfootball #haggerstonhotshots #haggerstonparkfootball

A 4-2 victory to the Yellows on another sweltering afternoon- it was a well-contested match but the Colours were their worst enemies, giving up 3 shockers and always chasing a leveller. Props to all that showed-up after the night before, MotM was their worst enemies menace up top, John Rob #haggerstonhotshots #haggerstonparkfootball #sundayfootball

A 4-1 victory for the Colours on a hot, Haggerston day.
Started out tight & looked like we may get another weather-influenced stalemate as per last Sunday but the eventual victors went ahead with the Yellows pegging them back shortly after. Colours went ahead again and rode their luck somewhat, the woodwork coming to their aid a couple of times before pulling away at the end. MotM went to Sean for an assured performance at the heart of the Colours defence. #haggerstonhotshots #sundayfootball #haggerstonparkfootball

A comprehensive 4-0 win for The Colours on a hot track.
Despite what appeared to be two evenly-matched sides, we learned that styles make fights and the victors got their tactics bang-on, defending stoutly and breaking with efficiency & late runs whilst Yellows toiled at breaking them down. Any one of the 8 could have taken the gong but it ultimately went to Valerio who contributed a lovely diving header and presented an opportunity (along with Lewis) to include a thirst-trap on our Insta and really pump those numbers! UTHH! #haggerstonhotshots #haggerstonparkfootball #sundayfootball⚽️
