I wrote the first edition of this song as a letter to my then unborn son over a decade ago. Now with Dad gone and AJ on the scene, it hits way harder for me. Thank you to @blackforestrock and my @blacksmithtrio bros @chocq_t and @toineonkeys for helping me bring this to life. #Lessons is now available on all DSPs. Love to #blackdads everywhere. #HappyFathersDay #AndreMartel #SeeYourself

Potential side effects of becoming an artist: questionable posture, talking to yourself, and spending way too long on one vocal take. 😂 So excited to be collaborating with @blackforestsounds on this one.

This coming week has some exciting things in store for Black Music Month. On Thursday, we kick off Juneteenth weekend with a night of R&B with @sing__aaron @chocq_t and @msmariemusic via @sofarcincy! Then the next day, in honor of Father’s Day, I’m going to have something else to celebrate my dad and my son. I invite you all to take part of it. #SofarSounds #BlackMusicMonth #SeeYourself #Juneteenth #FathersDay
