“Racism, classism and not feeling safe in majority-white, middle-class spaces, is largely why Black farmers aren’t able to sell their produce in many of the traditional market spaces.” 🧑🏾‍🌾🖤 — Natasha Pencil and Aisha Jade, Founders of @blackgrowthuk

🚀🔊 Building in Public — Black Pound Commerce! 🖤🪙

Hey guys! 👋🏾 I've been building our own food ordering and delivery platform, similar to Uber Eats and Deliveroo, but designed for the Black Pound Commerce ecosystem. 🍛📲🛵

One thing I discovered while visiting businesses was how important it is for staff to hear incoming orders, especially in busy kitchens! 🔔

So I've developed a BPC Fulfilment Alert App, working with a dedicated merchant handset and Bluetooth speaker. 📱🔊

✅ New order alerts
✅ Order acknowledgement reminders
✅ Courier on the way
✅ Courier arrival notifications

The plan is to include this setup as part of our merchant installations, helping businesses stay on top of every order. 🏪⚡

Just another piece of the infrastructure we're building, one improvement at a time! 💪🏾🚀

Real businesses. Real solutions. Real utility. 🖤💛

UNBOUND — BLACK EXCELLENCE 2026
✨ What happens when creativity refuses to stay inside the lines?
UNBOUND is the fourth story in our Black Excellence Collection 2026, and our independent tribute to Dame Pat McGrath — the British make-up artist and creative force whose extraordinary career has helped reshape the global beauty industry.
For me, UNBOUND is about freedom.
The freedom to create.
The freedom to experiment.
The freedom to redefine what beauty can look like.
And the freedom to build something extraordinary without allowing other people's expectations to become your boundaries.
That spirit inspired this infusion.
🍯 Saffron • Vanilla • Cacao Nibs • Pink Peppercorn
Luxurious saffron. Soft, aromatic vanilla. Deep cacao. A flash of pink peppercorn.
Four very different botanicals brought together in our golden sunflower honey — rich, intriguing and unapologetically distinctive.
And UNBOUND marks another step in our journey:
GENESIS — Claudia Jones
VISION — Ryan Coogler
EQUAL — Daniel Kaluuya
UNBOUND — Dame Pat McGrath
Four stories revealed. Two still to come.
ROOTED • LEGACY
🍯 275g — £18
🍯 2 for £34
🍯 Build three for £48
And this week, you can taste UNBOUND alongside all six Black Excellence infusions FREE when BEEyond Honey™ comes to Television Centre and Fulham Pier.
Excellence grows when we build together.™

UNBOUND is an independent BEEyond Honey™ tribute inspired by Dame Pat McGrath's achievements and creative legacy. The infusion is our own creative interpretation. No endorsement or affiliation is implie

There is honestly nothing I love more than a chat!

Getting to meet people is the best part of trading at markets, and the @blackgrowthuk Harvest Wellness Festival was full of beautiful connections and coversations, and I definitely left inspired in my own journey 💚

For me, living sustainably is a holistic concept; within your limitations trying to balance the food you eat, the products you buy and the companies you support with your money to be most beneficial for your own health and wellbeing, and that of the planet and all the others living on it - and of course these priorities can sometimes clash!

Getting to connect with people and hear about their relationship with sustainability, what they do in their day-to-day lives, what they would like to do more of and what stops them from doing it is what it's all about.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, and who bought something too! It's great to be a part of people's journeys ✨️💚

Couldn't resist these lovely pieces at The Black Growth CIC family event last Sunday. There was something for all the family: food, entertainment, music and shopping. Will get there earlier next time - double up on the shopping and the yummy Caribbean food!
