Tonight in the basement 9 PM EST is jam packed. We’re gonna put together a mixtape of some of the best features. A feature and a duet a different. In a duet, both artists equally contribute. But in a feature, the featured artist comes in and bring something hot that takes the track to the next level. We’re gonna play some gems tonight. You can tell me if you think the features or not. Also, We are starting our fundraiser for Beats For A Cure brought to you by @djdman216 More than 100 DJs streaming around the clock for a week raising funds for breast cancer support and research. He has challenged every DJ to raise $1000 so I need your help! donate.beatsforacure.org/djcsharp Come through!! twitch.tv/DJCsharp come through.

The year was 1976 and Songs in the Key of Life, potentially the greatest album ever made, was released. But I learned in my research that a couple of other albums that I think are pretty good were also released in 76. So tonight on our show we’re going to Spotlight those songs. So come through 9 PM EST twitch.tv/DJCSharp and hang out with us. #spotlight #1976 #classics

We have to get the 45+ OUTSIDE! 😂❤️ I had a great time at the Alpha Cookout (KEL Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.) and got a chance to catch up with Tracy Gant, who is running for Maryland State Delegate. But y’all know me… I was also TALKING TO THE MEN! 😂 I’m serious about figuring out how we create more spaces where men and women 45+ can come together, collaborate, connect, have fun and actually enjoy being OUTSIDE again. And I keep saying this — I don’t want to guess what men want. I want to ASK them. That means getting out in the community, having real conversations and listening. This is bigger than throwing another event. I want to help build a community where we actually want to show up for each other. So fellas 45+… what would get YOU outside? 👀 #BlackLaterDaters #45Plus #Outside #BlackMenOver45

Did you know there was a time when I was a SERIAL dater?! 😂 And when I first got out in them dating streets, I led with my résumé. Degrees. Accomplishments. Career. House. Car. Business. I had worked hard for what I had, and I thought I was going to meet a man who had what I had so we could build together. I always wanted to build my community and represent. What I learned pretty quickly was… men were not that impressed. 🤣😩 And the men who already had those things? They were even LESS moved by them. It took me some time to understand what was actually important to the men I was meeting. But I learned something else too. I’ve dated some of the “who’s who.” High income, secret clearance, executives etc. And I’ve dated regular, quality working men, including bus drivers. And especially here in the DMV, I met men who led with THEIR résumé too—their career, money, accomplishments, who they knew and what they owned. Sometimes the energy was very much: I’m the prize. You should see me as the catch. And I never ascribed to that. Because my question was always: How do you treat me? Can we communicate? Can I trust you? Do you respect me? Can we support each other? Can we build together? Because what you have and how you love are two very different things. And I think I was a little odd in that way. 🥳😏 I didn’t care nearly as much about the car, title or résumé as I cared about how I felt in relationship with you. Now, there are MANY lenses to this conversation. Men have experiences women need to hear. Women have experiences men need to hear. And THAT is why I’m excited to be joining this panel. It’s been some time since I’ve been out in them dating streets 😂, but relationships are the work I do every day—helping people understand themselves, each other and how we love. Because it helps our community have a different relationship with love. As you can see, they’re keeping the audience small, and I think this conversation is worth having. Come out. Bring your experiences. Bring your questions. Bring your lens. I don’t just want you to hear what we think. I want to hear what YOU think. ❤️ https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/he-said-she-said
