Technicallyy this reel took 4 months to put together. From the time of starting these projects until now, there have been many trials and errors. Figuring out which woods I prefer to work with, mixing and formulating my own paints, not to mention sketching and drawing on everything before finally going in with a hot piece of metal where you can't erase ANY mistakes.
.
These are unforgiving mediums, but so rewarding when a piece gets sold at a show. Seeing my clients face as they walk away with their new treasure, it brings me so much joy knowing it's being loved somewhere else on earth. That makes it easy to let go of my art. ✨️🪶 canaryfineart.com

Yesterday was a dream.
I’ve always wanted a hand poked tattoo.
While @katiefrandsen__ and I have been deep diving into my heritage- I discovered that Croatian women used to use this method to tattoo themselves (and their daughters) to avoid being abducted and forced into religious conversion.
As fate would have it, the stars aligned and I was able to have this done by the most amazing human- and in the space I’ve been getting tattooed in for the last several years.
Thank you @blacklightbirdy for creating this for me. 10/10 experience. Couldn’t be happier 🖤

(See the last slide for my shocked face at how much this did not hurt 😂)
