From the CD, “Format C:”

This is a CD of remixes bookended by four new songs- two in the front, and two at the end.

This is the second new song. Track two. It’s a tribute to poet, Nicole Blackman. She’s a genius.

Hope someone gets a kick out of it, maybe.

Be well. 🖤

Because these are dark times and art is our collective refuge. Because we must.

In times of question, we can’t shut down nor compromise on pursuing art. Whether you create it or not, it’s a refuge and by its very nature it is resistance.

Happy New Year! The New NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani with wife Rama Duwaji, and whole lot of supporters at the inauguration January 1, 2026.

People of all races and religions overwhelmingly rejected the politics of fear and division. From these eyes and ears, there was only multicultural love and support throughout this campaign. It was impossible to not feel hope and the desire to help one another in the crowd yesterday. This election means so much to so many. All photos by me @danielefram

*Please consider kickstarting the new art book link in comments.*

This is series of photos I made into a print as a present for Laurie Anderson. As NYC folklore has it, partners Laurie and Lou Reed would occasionally invite people over to their pad for noodles. The one time I was invited over was in 2023, after the launch of their book The Art of The Straight Line, about Reed’s longstanding love of tai chi, completed sadly after his passing and finally released that year. Unfortunately, I never made into the noodle-sphere that night so I made Laurie a one-of-a-kind print of some Tasty Hand-pulled Noodle photos I had documented a few years prior.

Please help Kickstart “False Flags” a collaboration art book between poet/word recorder Nicole Blackman and me. Link in bio.
