I was honoured to get the invite to make 1 of 10 tracks for arrhythnia's 100th release compilation; each track is exactly 10 minutes, and a fantastic excursion through ambient, drone, noise, harsh, wall, industrial and experimental electronic it is!

I kinda got a bit carried away with the making of mine. Here is the process behind it for those interested by this sort of thing.

'Overflowing And Rebuilding' is a remix of Niacinamide's 42 second track 'Empty And Collapsing', which he made for the Owlripper compilation '42 Seconds Number 5'

The building blocks of the piece uses the original 745 times, either sped up to create the rhythms or stretched out to create the industrial drone sounds you hear.

I added 5 layers of synth, then took it into Wavepad to add a few extra touches of distortion, EQ and master.

So, that's it for the year from me. Offline mostly until New Year and on travels from tomorrow morning.

It's been a pretty crazy year after deciding this time last year to do a lot more with Owlripper. Thank you to everyone who has listened, grabbed releases and discographies, and to the hundreds of bands and projects who have trusted me with their sounds across the 30 releases and 17 big compilations (all 47 nicely fit on the screenshot).

You've all got into the spirit of what I am hoping to do, and that's to be as diverse as possible with what is put out there, highlighting good music and the nice people involved in making all the varying extremes of sound, of experimental and riff natures.

January and February will be pretty quiet on Owlripper, as I have a lot going on with The Owl and Morbid Beauty to clear a huge backlog of releases ready to go, so I need to focus in that direction for a while.

Owlripper will remain invite only for releases for a while longer, but, there are 3 open compilations still collecting (check 'ACTIVE COMPILATIONS' on Bandcamp for all the info), and then after I feel a bit more caught up on with Owl and MB, it will be full steam ahead!

Thank you for listening and reading my rambles, and continued thanks to all the bands and projects who are trusting me with spreading their sounds around, be they individual releases or the compilations (updates about the in progress ones soon)!

On that note, just to clarify, Owlripper isn't taking submissions still for releases, (but is for the comps, go look at ACTIVE COMPILATIONS on the Bandcamp). The plan is to open it up more in the coming year but I just need to get fully prepared and more caught up with my own work as The Owl and Morbid Beauty. There will be plenty of posts once I am taking submissions.
