I seem to keep coming back to blue. 💙 There is something so easy about it - from soft and faded to deep and moody. And perhaps loving blue skies! ☁️

Every rug has been handpicked by me on my travels in Morocco, a place I have been going to for many years and love. Each rug is handwoven and has a story to tell. Today I’m chatting to Sally Denning @blackshorestudio - Interior Stylist & Creative Director.

Sally works with a wide portfolio of clients, both commercial & editorial - such as @colefaxandfowler @littlegreenepaintcompany & @neptunehomeofficial - who harness her creative flair & styling skills to enhance their brands as she visually brings them alive.

All photographs are of Sally’s home.

Pics 6 & 7 are of Sally’s boot room, which she created in collaboration with another of my guests, Jodey Collorick of @kelmscott_studio who recorded Ep.81 with me.

Favourite paints to use at home: “@littlegreenepaintcompany Light Bronze Green - I can’t explain it, you just have to put it on your walls. And Linen Wash, it gives a room a little bit of soul”.

To create a calm home: “Use natural materials, textures & keep a muted palette - I’m triggered by bright colours”.

Best advice for work: “Be over prepared & organised - & have a good team spirit”.

What have you learnt in life: “Nothing really matters - everything will be ok”.

We all love green and pink…so why not make it green Leopard and pink! 🐆🩷

Here are some runner install shots - this time in the wonderful home of local artist @katelowepainter. Kate has an amazing way with colour so we were not surprised when she said she would pair the Leopard with her pink stairs. The photos do not do it justice!

Can’t wait to see it finished with colour on the walls.

Kate has a solo exhibition this week at our neighbour @madeinthepewseyvale gallery just down the road from us in Pewsey so do pop in and see her wonderful work. 🖼️
