🎶 **VINYL PICK OF THE DAY: REGGAE EDITION 🇯🇲** Today, we can really see the fall in Canada with the leaves falling and the colors. We’re spinning **Black Uhuru – “Solidarity”** from their album *Anthem*! 🔥💿 Formed in **Kingston, Jamaica, in 1972**, Black Uhuru became one of reggae’s most influential groups, known for their powerful harmonies, deep basslines, and socially conscious lyrics. Their name means “black freedom” in Swahili, and their signature sound blends roots reggae with dub influences. “Solidarity” brings that hypnotic reggae groove we love, with a message of unity and togetherness. And *Anthem* made history by winning the first-ever Grammy Award for Best Reggae Recording in 1985! 🏆🇯🇲 And come on, **check out their swagger in those pictures!** 😎 The style, the confidence, the energy… they had their own vibe, both musically and visually. This is what I love about collecting vinyl: every record has a story, a sound, and an atmosphere that takes you somewhere else. So let’s drop the needle, feel the riddim, and let the reggae vibes take over! 🔊💚💛❤️ **What's your favourite Black Uhuru song or album?** Let me know in the comments! 👇🏾 #solidarity #blackuhuruofficial #ReggaeVinyl #vinylcommuníty #ReggaeMusic

Jamaica nice! There’s seeing a live show, and then there’s witnessing history unfold right through the viewfinder. When Black Uhuru stepped onto the Lincoln Center stage and the iconic bassline for “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” hit, the entire atmosphere shifted. The weight, the heritage, and that undeniable heavy roots energy resonated through the plaza—you could literally feel the vibrations in your chest before you even pressed the shutter. Watching reggae royalty command an NYC landmark with that level of timeless authority left me genuinely speechles. Moments like this are why I carry the camera. It’s not just about freezing a frame; it’s about capturing the pulse of the movement, the raw tension in the performance, and the collective spirit of the crowd soaking in something historic. Every single shot felt like documenting a masterclass in culture. Absolute privilege to stand behind the lens for this one. 🔊📸🔥 📍 Lincoln Center, NYC | 08.08.2026 #BlackUhuru #GuessWhosComingToDinner #ReggaeCulture #LincolnCenter #RootsReggae LiveMusicPhotography NYCConcerts MusicInFocus VisualStoryteller GavsonPhotoworks
