11th EYT TITLE!! 🏆🎳

Today was definitely an eventful one!! Qualified as the 1 seed and had a bye, then had to make a 4 pin to move on and was able to get it done! In the finals, I had no line and needed a double and 6 in the 10th to win, and when it mattered most, I struck!! Got away with 2 lucky strikes and a 7 count to secure the win by 2 pins!! This win was extra special because I was on my own today while my parents were at my sister’s sectional tennis match. My sister made history today for Harlem High School by winning sectionals in #1 varsity singles, and the Harlem girls tennis team also won sectionals!! I’m so proud of her and the entire team! Huge thank you to my amazing friend @autumn_strode09 and her parents for being like a second family to me, and for all the help with ball selection, lane play, and just being there for me today!! Thank you to Storm for always being the best and to Diandra for everything she does for the EYT!! Congrats to everyone who bowled and won today!! Now 7/8 on tournaments this season and excited to see what the rest of the season brings!!

Striking Against Breast Cancer EYT: 5th-8th
.
Not much to say for this one, to be honest. I qualified second after a grind of a qualifying set and lost in the first round due to several mistakes. Now I know what to work on in the future, starting with swinging the lane effectively. Also, making makeables would help.
.
Congrats to @blackunicornbowling @nk300x9 and @leabesevic.bowling on their wins 🙌
.
Thank you to @krstrikeforce for allowing me to wear your wonderful shoes as always.

⚡️SYC COASTAL CLASSIC CHAMPION⚡️

What an amazing weekend at my first ever SYC Coastal Classic in the Carolinas! This is definitely one of the most challenging tournaments, bowling at two different centers on tough lane conditions, but I’m so happy to come out with the win, and make it my 5th SYC Title!! I averaged a 190 for 15 games and now 6/7 tournaments this season!! I also had the honor of meeting and talking with one of the best in the game, Kelly Kulick! Thank you so much for all the help and tips, it was such an amazing opportunity! Huge thank you to my dad for always choosing to spend his time with me and supporting me through all the ups and downs, and to Storm for everything you do for us bowlers and for being the best of the best! ⚡️ Congrats to my friends Arryn Odujebe, Anna Antony, Jos Weems, and all the other champions on their wins! Also, HUGE congrats to my sister Mia Besevic for making history this weekend as the first Harlem No. 1 singles conference champion!! What an amazing weekend for the Besevic family! 🎾 Up next: EYT!!

2026 Junior Gold: 4th Place and Junior Team USA 🇺🇸

This is very late but I feel this tournament deserves a post. One of the best performances I've ever had to cap off my youth career. I'm extremely proud of how mentally strong I was this week, as there were so many moments where I was having an awful game or block but somehow turned it around nearly every time. I also earned a spot on Junior Team USA, which is a goal that I've had for years.

My first few qualifying blocks all started quite rough, struggling with leaving a lot of splits but I averaged 264 in game 4s to bring it back each time. On day 4, I finally hit my stride and had a monster 1028 set to barely jump into the lead after qualifying.

In advancers, my first two games started very rough but I regrouped and saved them. I closed with 3 solid games to put together an okay block but dropped to 4th. Final advancers was a very nerve-wracking block because the race for Jr Team spots was extremely close. The pattern was super tough and I started slow, but I found a decent look and steadily grinded out the rest. My block total was again just okay but the others scores lined up for me to qualify 3rd for match play and earn a spot on Junior Team USA!

In match play I found a great look on a tricky pattern that not many others could replicate. I lost my second match due to a bad ball change and was sent to the elim bracket, but I still felt confident in my ball reaction and my ability to win matches. I won my next 3 matches averaging 225 before facing off against Brett for the #3 seed. It was pretty close the whole way and I ended up needing to strike out in the 9th and 10th to force him to double. I got the first two but then flat 10'd, meaning Brett only needed a mark and he stepped up and aced it. Despite losing, I was still super mentally strong throughout the bracket and had the highest match play average by over 10 pins.

Recap:
Day 1: +25 (+25) 78th
Day 2: +95 (+120) 19th
Day 3: +86 (+206) 17th
Day 4: +228 (+434) 1st
Advancers: +52 (+486) 4th
Final Advancers: -42 (+444) 3rd

ISST TITLE #1!!!!! 🏆
.
Oh man what a weekend of bowling I’ve just had. I got my first isst title today! Today was such a grind, with me going -55 for my 5 games of qualifying, with two 150s and like 7 million missed makeables. Then shooting 136 my first game of matchplay against @easonjtaylor11 on the pair of doom known as 37-38. I just grinded the whole day and eventually was able to come out with the win and I’m over the moon about it.
.
And of course, CONGRATS TO @autumn_strode09 FOR WINNING BACK TO BACK ISSTS BECAUSE SHE IS SO TUFFFF!!!!! I love you so much and I’m so proud we got to do this together. It’s always a great day when we both win 😉.

WYBT DOUBLES WITH @blackunicornbowling 🏆
.
Man this is something I’ve been dreaming of ever since I started bowling. Bowling a doubles tournament with one of my idols from the sport. What an incredible experience. Thank you to Mr. Weems for bowling with me and making this day so awesome. Anyways, time to talk about bowling.
.
Qualifying was very difficult, especially on 29-30, oh man that abysmal pair. But we managed to get to around +90 I believe for our individual games and around +80 for our baker games to get to 2nd at +172. Then for matchplay we shot 4 230s IN A ROW, because we were incapable of shooting anything else apparently. Then we went back to the dastardly pair of 29-30 and shot 160, so we shot something other than 230. Then in the position round, we were about 50 ahead of 2nd, which at the time I thought we had more, but it’s okay. We fired off a 277 and I proceeded to sell on the front 9 and bone a 9 pin! Yippie! Sorry Jos 😔. But we were able to come away with the win for what I believe are both of our first WYBT Titles!

EYT BATTLE ROYALE: 5TH/6TH!!!
.
Had a pretty good weekend at the eyt battle royale. But, some unfortunate occurrences and dumb moves and decisions by myself gave me a 5th/6th place finish.
.
Short: +228 🥇
Long: +76 6th
Medium: +154 🥇
Overall: +458 🥇
.
Had incredible ball reaction on the short the whole time, mid ball reaction on the long, and incredible ball reaction most of the time on the medium (we don’t talk about game 3). Physical game felt great the whole time, just gotta work on trusting my gut a little more and making more drastic changes.
.
Congrats to @easonjtaylor11 @leabesevic and @weston_sadler for winning your divisions!
.
But, most importantly, CONGRATS TO @autumn_strode09 FOR WINNING 3 FREAKING YEARS IN A ROW!!!! I’m so proud of you and you really deserve it. Thank you for making me feel better when I was down after losing and making this weekend extra special. I love you so much ❤️❤️❤️.

Had fun playing low game with some friends after day one of PBA Jr in Lockport. 10 pins had given me trouble so I was practicing 10 pins and eventually joined them for some fun. #PBAJr #EYT #LeaveYourMark #MindsetGear
