Today marked one year since we said goodbye to Hunter the Irish Wolfhound, our gentle giant and inspiration for the name of our vineyard, Hounds Run. We added his collar to our memorial tree alongside Lily's boots, spread his ashes and said our final farewell. A special moment on a beautiful spring day.

Winter at Hounds Run. Dog walks, pruning, green landscapes, flowers and fungi, warm fires to come home to at night and a full moon rising.

Last week, we said farewell to our gorgeous gentle giant Hunter. He had an intimidating bark yet a beautiful soft nature. He commanded the room, he was warm and loving, cuddly and oh so vocal. Our house is quiet and our hearts are hurting. RIP big sweet boy! 😪😪

What a perfect day for pruning! We're retraining a section of our shiraz block so that it is more productive moving forward. BIG THANKS to Lucie and Tim (not pictured) our amazing international team this year.

Happy 10th Birthday Paddy! 🎂 🥳 Stoic yet soft, loyal and most definitely a best friend. Paddy, our first born, loves chasing rabbits, lounging in the sun or sitting by the fire!

returning in aug with another incredible lineup of local wine makers. really excited to partner with @blackandgingerwine. winemaker hadyn black completed 2 stints in the napa valley (california) before returning to australia to work at best’s great western. from there he branched out and started making his own wines with darcy naughton. based in the grampians, both hadyn & darcy are consistently making an evolving range of interesting & enjoyable wines. stop by for a glass, or settle in for a bottle - you won’t be disappointed 🍷 tix on-sale now
