POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It's a Saturday evening, maybe just after dinner. The sky outside is turning a dusky orange. You push open the glass door of the local Xtravision and step into a world that feels like its own little universe.

The air inside is a blend of plastic cases, worn carpet, and that peculiar electronic scent from old CRT monitors running that weeks newest movie release. The lighting is warm, soft yellow, not too bright, but enough to make the glossy VHS covers gleam, some with a little "Be Kind, Rewind" sticker slapped on the back.

You move slowly, running your fingers along the cases. Your eyes flicker from title to title, mesmerized by the outrageous artwork—explosions, monsters, shiny fonts, cartoon characters all frozen mid-laugh. You’re making a mental list and weighing options. There is only one movie tonight. Two if you're lucky.

You feel safe. Excited. Alive in a way that only kids can be when choices are small but mean everything.
