Seems like yesterday what looked like a baby giraffe was trying to run around the bases. Now it’s like a baby rhino running the bases 😂😂😂. Really fun and cherish this time having you out there helping not only your little brother but all the kids out there. Cool to see all the kids look up to you and think you’re just the coolest person there. Some are too busy or aren’t patient enough to help out at your age and I appreciate every minute you’re out there. Sure wish I could travel back in time and not take some of the things so serious, laugh a little more, but hey look at you now. Some was wrong, some was right, parenting young, figuring it out, just glad your little brother has one hell of a man to look up too and follow. Cherish the moments, enjoy the time, never make excuses or not take the time to help or give back, and always know there’s a little boy growing up who’s always looking up trying to be as good as you.

So proud of this kid. Hurt my heart a little not seeing him behind the plate anymore for the first time in 8+ years but at the end of the day he’s following his dream. Some dreams require huge sacrifices and steps. Some are afraid to take those steps, make those sacrifices, work thru the struggles, and find a way to mentally push through hoping to one day see yourself succeed. He ain’t always the best, he ain’t always the stand out, but what he is the best at is believing, trusting the process, and out working every single person around him. I cannot wait to see him succeed in life whether on the field or off the field and see how valuable he is to the world. I love you my guy!!!

Happy 18th birthday to the first son, the first born, and the best son any mother or father could ask for. I’m proud of you, I’m excited for you, I’m here for you, and I love you more than life itself. Proud of who you are, who you’ve become, and who you are going to be. I hope you have the best birthday, the best senior year, and make a ton of memories that will stay with you forever. I love you my man more than you’ll ever know.

This one may be the hardest yet BEST. 12 years of ups and downs, highs and lows, laughs and tears. This game will bring out true character, someone’s work ethic, dedication, determination, and passion. This game will push all the mental and physical barriers on someone. This game will make or break you. Since T ball, being the smallest, skinniest, not as athletic, I’ve never given him false hope, lied about who he was or where he was at. Every single day I pushed him to outwork every single person around him, never give up, preaching your time will come, not today, not tomorrow, not a year, but when it comes if you continue to outwork every single person you will be successful. When the time comes someone is going to push you, believe in you, and see what you are capable of becoming the same way I have since you were 4. Well that time has come and someone has found that diamond in the rough, someone who sees what you see, believes in you, and willing to take a chance on YOU. There is absolutely nobody more hardworking, more deserving, and more worthy of this than you. You’ve made the next step, keep the tunnel vision, keep the chip on your shoulder, and keep outworking everyone around you. I’m very proud of you and I love you more than you’ll ever know. Keep chasing your dream buddy
