We had an unbelievable showing of Blair pride at our Charlotte reception this weekend with Head of School Peter G. Curran P’27 ’27. A special thanks to Bill and Courtney Hyder P’23 ’27 for hosting current and past parents, alumni and friends in their home.

While in Charlotte, Mr. Curran took the opportunity to catch up with Bill McElwain ’50 and his wife, Sue. Everyone wish Bill a happy 95th birthday today in the comments!

For Teddy Wenner, Dean of Enrollment at Blair Academy, the interview and essays are key opportunities for admissions officers to understand who a student is beyond grades and achievements.

But the interview is also a chance for students to discover whether a school is the right fit for them. Do you feel comfortable expressing yourself? Do you connect with the school’s community and values? Can you see yourself thriving there?
