This was the 4th of 23 paintings I have done in the "VANISHING AMERICA" series--Number 23 is in Progress and just finished a "Fantasy meets V.A." and 2 Sketch Covers....Thanks to @rubendacollector for the idea to show in order...

The WEST VIRGINIA Diner in Upstate New York-Mechanicville 1957. Small Business like this was the heartbeat of downtowns and cities throughout the heavy growth periods. They need to be recognized before they are all gone....esp Diners and Gas stations

This was Watercolor and Gouache on 16x20 larger board. I thought this one came out well...especially the melting snow=reflection.and chain link fence. A REALLY poor photo of the art....was much sharper in person...has been SOLD.
Fun Ironic Fact: this Diner was across from the West Virginia Paper Plant in upstate New York.

I interrupt my regular programming for this important message annual excursion:
Here are some photos of me with some friends and acquaintances and comic creators at @baltimorecomiccon and @newyorkcomiccon this year. Both of these “local” conventions come around the same time of the year, so It’s an adrenaline rush! I love getting to know people more each year, little by little, meeting new friends, helping out fellow fans, and building those bonds. I also like meeting people in person that I have followed on social media, or engaged in conversations along the way. I also like exploring cities, trying out great restaurants, and getting my steps in! Wow. What an adrenaline rush!
Now… back to my regular scheduled programming.

This was the 3rd of 23 paintings I have done in the "VANISHING AMERICA" series--Number 23 is in Progress and just finished a "Fantasy meets V.A." and 2 Sketch Covers....

To honor the colors of Autumn. "LAKE GEORGE 1958". My View & my Car at the time. This is 20x15 in Watercolor and some Gouache. Wish I got a better pic before SOLD/Shipped....was much sharper. BTW, Why i signed on the left, I don't know...bugs me.

I had a great comment from
grendelkhan_666.........
'Hello, I really like this painting. It looks so peaceful, and at the same time, I feel we are looking into something stranger, like the beginning of a Stephen King story... I really like this feeling !!!"
That was on of my favorite comments..
