🖤🥁Black Drum 🥁 🖤
•
This is an often overlooked inshore delicacy. Black drum are nibblers, so don’t go setting the hook too soon! These are a great fish for anyone to target because the learning curve is less steep. A little patience and shrimp on the bottom is all you need to catch one. These fish are a great candidate for a catch and cook right now as we are finding many in the slot. Black drum rarely eat minnows or mullet, they prefer shellfish, which gives their fillets a slightly sweeter flavor. Pan seared or fried, you cannot go wrong with fresh caught black drum. 💥
