Owned by two sisters, Lizeth and Janeth Zorilla, they describe "La Finca" as a labor of love, founded after a transformative trip to their home country.

After coming to the United States as children, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals policy, also known as DACA, allowed them to travel and return safely.

Little did they know, their three-week stay in Oaxaca would allow them to bring a piece of their home country back to the place they call home today, changing their lives forever.

I knew I would love Milwaukee and it was such an incredible experience. Thanks to everyone you see here (and everyone you don’t who worked behind the scenes) for making me feel so welcome at @wisn12news for the past couple weekends.

While my time was short in Milwaukee, I will absolutely be back to visit and it’s onto the next adventure!

A decade ago, I started my journalism career in South Bend, IN, with so much to learn and so much ahead of me.

So much has changed, and so much has shaped the person I am today.
I’m grateful for every chapter, every place, and every story along the way.

10 years. 3 cities. Countless memories.

Thank you for joining me on this journey.💕
