Over the years people have often asked me if I teach.

The answer has always been “occasionally.”

I’m excited to say that’s changing.

I’ve thought a lot about what goes into those magical moments where a performer and material combine to create something transcendent. And after years in the industry I’m excited to launch my performers studio to help others achieve their goals and find that spark.

As someone who’s spent years performing in professionally in the musical theatre industry, I know auditions, cabaret, rehearsals, even a show mid-run can feel overwhelming. I’ve had the incredible highs, the frustrating knock-backs, and everything in between. I’ve worked alongside some of the most masterful performers, directors, and producers in the world and I’m so excited to share the expertise I’ve gained over the years.

To me this isn’t just about singing the notes.
It’s about choosing the right material.
Understanding the story you’re telling.
Making strong, confident choices.
Walking into the room feeling present, prepared, and creative; informed by expertise and experience from someone in the know.

Whether you’re just starting out or already working professionally, my goal is simple: to help you become the most authentic, prepared version of yourself.

Now that we’ve said goodbye to the French Riviera I’d like to indulge in a bit of reminiscing and share mere snippets from the my time with the awesome team that brought this show together. Sunday saw our Scoundrels contract take its final bow, and to mark this finale I've decided to bring 'pen to paper'. If waxing lyrical and uncalled for self indulgence isn't to your taste, please, scroll on.

As the Australian theatre industry faces further uncertain times (toward which my heart and eyes are turned), it strikes me as curious as to why I don't for a second doubt why we do what we do. This season of shows, rehearsals and fastidious pre-production have produced within me a completely different person, once again satisfying this growth mindset and unwavering desire for expansion that I know fuels so many of us.

To the creatives who made me your Christine, I am forever in your debt. Rebecca, Dylan, Cameron and Ebony, your faith and positivity was a backbone for me. Same goes for the devoted Associate, Resident and SM teams 💛 much respect.

Rowan Witt and Blake Erickson, old friends who quickly became my show lifelines, made for brilliant counterparts such that I would count down the hours till I'd get to do it all again - wildly, the role interacts with only them for 95% of her show! Coming in to work brought a contentment worth bottling. T'was a perfect track surrounded by a company of great talent and tenacity... and some new besties. Congrats, All.

This show for me was for the village of coaches, friends and fam who patiently help any of us to become what we've never been. Hours spent with trusted experts, mentors and loved ones; it is never a solo game, and that is perhaps my favourite part. Very thankful...

And before I'm guilty of an Oscars speech that really no one asked for, about a task that is not brain surgery, this closing cascade is best brought back to its origin - conversations with dear friend, Tony Sheldon, whose wisdom on the matter, advice, generosity and belief shifted my internal compass at the opportune moment(s). I thank him for so much.

The dozens of friends who schlepped their way to the theatre, including those who FLEW, I thank you! I know I'm not saving any lives, but certainly feel mine was made better from doing this.

To @carlaaa.venezia , my other half, thank you for always having my back and trusting me through it all. Thank you for your kindness, and constant support, plus for always making me smile. I could not have asked for a better partner in crime💐

Finally to @cameronboxall_ , thank you for taking a chance on me. It has been an honour and a privilege to bring your work to life. You have brought so much life to this show and done it all with compassion and love. From studio sessions, to skeleton crew, rehearsals, and beyond, I have loved it all. I am forever grateful💛

Kind of difficult to try and succinctly describe this experience….what the past 3 months has meant to me, the fun I’ve had, everything I have learnt and the joy I have felt.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels has been the epitome of a dream come true. This cast is the gold standard of people to have the absolute privilege of working with. I’ll miss all of them terribly. I could obviously write an essay on how this is everything I’ve ever dreamed of, but I’ll just say that I’m beyond lucky and grateful to have had this opportunity doing this material, and working with the best.

Endless thanks and gratitude to @rebecca_mcnamee_ @dylannpollardd @cameronboxall_ and @ebbstucker for believing in me, trusting me and giving this nerd a chance.
I’ve loved living and playing on the French Riviera for the past little while and I would kindaaaaa love to go back sometime soon…. 🌞🌴🍸
