A few weeks ago, we highlighted our top individual season performances. Today, we want to recognize one of the top individual careers in Montini Baseball history.

Blake Heyer graduated Montini this year with an 18-7 record and 1.99 ERA while ranking in the top 6 among all pitchers in strikeouts, strikeouts per inning pitched, innings pitched, and wins for his career. His 32 starts included several postseason appearances, including being the winning pitcher in this year’s Regional Championship game.

Truly one of the best pitchers to ever put on a Montini uniform. Best of luck at Holy Cross, Blake!

Made history this year, one K at a time.

Our 2026 Montini Baseball “Arm Farm” cemented itself as one of the best in our school’s history, setting a team strikeout record and reaching a milestone no staff in school history has ever reached: 300 strikeouts. Their final total of 307 strikeouts broke the previous record of 274.

Congratulations to Blake Heyer ‘26, Drake Palmer ‘26, Robert Sansone ‘26, Nick Kois ‘26, Johnny Louise ‘27, Julio Ayala ‘27, Kevin May ‘27, Eddie McCarthy ‘28, Grayson Carrigan ‘28, Sonny Mateja ‘28, Will Breier ‘28, and Patrick Boeh ‘29 on their place in Montini Baseball history!

Today, we were supposed to have one last Gameday post for the 2026 season. Mother Nature had other plans.

No matter what, we are proud of both Quin Paprockas and Blake Heyer, who were our representatives in today’s cancelled Chicago Catholic League vs. Chicago Public League All-Star Game. Both were incredibly deserving of this honor, and we know they would’ve represented us well in their Broncos jersey one last time.

We will instead look forward to the great things they both will accomplish at the next level and forever be thankful for the memories they gave all of us.

Congratulations to our IHSBCA 3A All-State selections for the 2026 season: Blake Heyer ‘26 and Johnny Louise ‘27!

We are proud of the way both players represented us on and off the field this season.

For Johnny, he is being recognized for an incredible campaign on both sides of the ball. We can’t wait to have him back in 2027.

For Blake, this recognition is the completion of one of the top pitching careers in Montini Baseball history. We’re excited to see what he will do at Holy Cross!

Congratulations men!
