A year ago I made a promise to myself that I would be present in the moment and hold on to every memory. What I didn’t realize is how many core memories would come from this year, and I’ll always be grateful for my ffamily.

To the 9 who have shaped me into me, thank you for teaching me that I can write my story with pen, not just pencil. Thank you for showing me that I have a purpose in life and that I’m loved no matter how far away we may be.

To the 9 I’ll spend the next year of my life with, I can’t wait. We’ll walk together every step of the way, and we’ll reach destinations we never thought were possible. Most of all, we’ll support each other wherever we call home.

Louisiana FFA, thank you for being the third step to finding my balance in life. Choosing to serve this organization is the best decision I’ve made, and don’t believe that I’ll stop anytime soon. Happiness is temporary, but joy is sustainable. LAFFA is my joy 💛

State convention is normally something I think of as a way to end out the year. Now, I’m looking at it from a different perspective. After all, the end is always a beginning, isn’t it?

Soooo, same time next year??

Signing out (but to be continued),

WOAHHH HEY LOUISIANA FFA!!

My name is Hayden Navarre and boy oh boy I am ecstatic. I am incredibly honored to serve as your Louisiana FFA State Vice President Representing Good old Area 3!!

I am a recent graduate of Rayne High School and I’ll be attending Mcneese State University in the fall for agriculture education. Outside of the blue jacket, I was a big part of my high schools music department, student council, student government, and always doing something with my community.

One thing about me is I have ALWAYS loved quotes, I’m pretty sure I have a quote for just about anything… “The light you carry isn’t meant to make others see you, it’s meant to help others see themselves.” I am so so SO excited to meet and spend time with all 14,000 of you and i hope that this year of service isn’t just my experience but ours.

And if there’s one promise I can make to each of you it’s that no matter how dark the road or uncertain the path, WE will be the light and together, Louisiana FFA, we’ll shine brighter than ever.

Until next time…

I am as human as anyone…” -Superman

Four years ago I walked into Tioga High Schools Ag department, searching for friends, searching for comfort, searching for a place I belonged. But I never thought that classroom, would be a place that I called home. For the last 4 years i’ve had the honor and the privilege to wear a blue corduroy jacket, and as I hang up my jacket for the final time, I realized how blessed I have been not only to be apart of this organization, but to serve it. Not only did it give me friends and memories that will last a lifetime, but it gave me a place to grow; A place to grow my passions, a place to grow my skills, and most importantly a place to grow my “why”.
Two years ago when I decided to run for Area office, my advisors both asked me, “why?” Something I had never been asked or even thought about before, and it wasn’t until about 2 months into my State officer year that I found my true “why”.
Superman once said “I am as human as anyone, I love. I get scared. I wake up each day and despite not knowing what to do I put one foot in front of the other because I am human and that is my greatest strength.” Through out my life I was always trying to please others, whether it was a sport I played, a club I joined, or a grade I made, I was determined to be everyone’s hero. and it wasn’t until this year, when I heard this quote that I realized even superheroes are human. I spent years of my life exhausted and stressed out just for that weight to be lifted off of me in an instant. That’s when I found it. I wanted to be that person to show others they are human. They can make mistakes, they can fail tests, they can lose a contest, but that doesn’t mean they are not good enough. I wanted to be the someone that I so desperately needed.
To everyone who has been a part of my journey, friends, family, teachers, teammates; I don’t think words will ever express how grateful I am, every one of you have made these past 4 years unforgettable and I cannot thank you enough.
Louisiana FFA for the final time, your 2025-2026 State Vice President representing Area 2,
Jacob Craft
