SKETCHES OF LEACOCK - Theatre On The Ridge @theatreontheridgeportperry in Port Perry (August 2026)

After closing the show last Sunday, I wanted to take the time to thank the cast and creative team of this incredible show!! Playing Wanda, the Doorbell, Hotel Owner, Mrs Montgomery, Reverend Dean Drone, and “Manon” was such a treat. For my first summer stock show, I couldn’t have wished for a funnier, wiser and more beautiful story to share with the most talented humans by my side. 💛

Thank you Andy, and Stephen Leacock of course, for weaving words so wonderfully and bringing it all together as our inspired director. Thank you new bestie Alea for steering the ship (and tech cues), choreographing magical moments, and being our wise and quiet coyote when we needed it most! Thank you Michael for your musical genius, and challenging me to sing my heart out every time. Thank you Lyle for the details you brought to the soundscape and vocals. Aaron and Grace, I am so honored and grateful I got to bring to life your costume and prop designs, all while having dance parties during costume changes. To Carey, Andy, Daria, Allena and all of the @theatreontheridge staff, thank you for your care and dedication towards this show, the theatre and the community it brings together!

To my cast, I love you all so much, and I’m so glad we got to have each other’s back this summer! 🦆 Jane, best accordion playing spy duck the world has ever seen. ⌚️ Jenna, most timely « bald bank baddie » and best event organizer… from Winnipeg. 🛒 Blake, best kumquat seller and « pull-door » opener who happens to also be the famous humorist, Stephen Leacock. 💍 Henry, my best, danciest, most money averse, and gayest lover I’ve been engaged to in a minute (and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 🥹)

Till we meet again under the branches of the willow tree my friends 💛
