Petals has always had a quality that feels most itself when it's moving. There were moments during our White-on-White collection shoot that stopped me—the way it caught the light on the staircase landing, billowing slightly, the architecture of the house framing it just so. It felt less like a fabric on a set and more like it simply belonged there. It reminded me why I make what I make.

Stamped Garland is one of our favorites from the new White-on-White collection, with loose abstract florals embroidered on off-white linen in cascading diagonal rows. There is something inherently uplifting about the way it moves through a space, luminous and light, forward momentum in the most graceful sense. See more at rebeccaatwood.com.

Introducing A Bigger Splash.

Our best-selling Baker’s Apprentice just got longer. In fact, she became a dress.

This shirt lands just above the knee, making it the perfect steamy summer dress or swim cover-up. There are two sewn-in hip pockets and, of course, our signature chest pocket for sunglasses, hotel keys, or the pool boy’s number.

The fit is easy and slightly oversized. The dropped shoulder and slight cocoon shape give the silhouette just enough volume to be breezy and cool, but not overwhelming.

It's all about the clapboard in this week's @ft_houseandhome. First up, @missmaryholland is in Charleston, South Carolina, speaking to the wave of cool creatives who have moved there in the last few years and asks why they were drawn to open restaurants, design studios, antiques shops and more...
Then, Christian House is in Norway visiting the remote no-frills cabins of Wenche Selmer. The dream of a summer escape for those who want to reconnect with nature – hellish back-to-basics for others. Where do you stand?
Distinctly less no-frills are the chateaux with boutique vineyards in France that are going for a song. Is now the time live the blue-shuttered, wine drinking dream? @alicekantor speaks to the ex-pats who have done it... is it worth the uphill battles of climate and falling consumption?
Down in Cornwall, meanwhile, @sharonsmith visits the mullioned windowed, stone hearthed home of @uniquehomestays founder Sarah Stanley. Is her her as gorgeous as those on her books. Spoiler alert: yes.
Side note: she does have lots of lovely baths – and seperateley, @keithflanny has a question: should you put one in your bedroom?
Hugo Cox is also keen on baths - but in his case for birds: he visits gardens in Kenya, Cape Cod and East Sussex to gleam the best tips on a avian-friendly garden. Before the planting, he says: start with water.
Robin Lane Fox also wants water – but in the absence of it, he talks how to manage your pots.
Enjoy!
