When was last time you saw something and could feel its gravity? Or a question came up that could change everything. The way your heart knew it mattered. Anyway recently i was brought back to this poem that’s one of my favorites, so i wanted to share :

One day you finally knew what you had to do, and began, though the voices around you kept shouting
their bad advice —though the whole house began to tremble
and you felt the old tug at your ankles.
“Mend my life!” each voice cried.
But you didn’t stop.
You knew what you had to do, though the wind pried with its stiff fingers at the very foundations, though their melancholy was terrible.
It was already late enough, and a wild night, and the road full of fallen branches and stones.
But little by little,
as you left their voice behind, the stars began to burn through the sheets of clouds, and there was a new voice which you slowly recognized as your own, that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper into the world, determined to do
the only thing you could do —determined to save
the only life that you could save.

P.s. so grateful for my people

It’s kind of wild how much life can change in six months.

I basically flipped my entire life upside down because I wanted to slow down… which somehow required making every possible life change at once & life moving really fast once i decided to everything needed to change to align with the life I’m creating for myself 😂

New home, routines, shifting who i surround myself with and how i see my reality.

I’m realizing that even when the changes are good, your nervous system doesn’t instantly catch up. So lately I’ve just been learning how to land. To let this version of my life actually feel like mine.

I’m also really, really grateful for the people who’ve loved me through all of it. The ones who’ve cheered me on, held space when it was messy, and reminded me I don’t have to have everything figured out. & literally have spent hours helping me move, build furniture, & create a new home. Real ones.

Still grounding & settling in. But it feels really good to be here.
