Blanca Blanco’s Oscars style tells a story through the shoes that her dramatic gowns deliberately left visible.

At the 2017 Academy Awards, the actress stepped onto the red carpet in a yellow-gold embellished gown with an exceptionally high slit. Beneath it were black strappy stiletto sandals decorated with floral appliqués at the toes and ankles — an ornate shoe that sharply contrasted with the gold dress.
One year later, Blanco changed direction.

For the 2018 Oscars, she collaborated with Atria on a custom red-and-white gown with a deep keyhole neckline and thigh-high slit. This time, the exposed footwear was much quieter: nude ankle-strap high-heeled sandals with a barely-there construction that allowed the graphic gown to command attention.

The designer of those nude heels has never been publicly confirmed, but their minimalist approach recalls the streamlined red-carpet formula associated with Stuart Weitzman’s Nudist sandal.

Our archive also goes back to Blanco’s sculptural red-and-black Dennis Diem gown at the 2015 Oscars, tracing how dramatic silhouettes became a recurring feature of her Academy Awards wardrobe.

God is kind. ❤️

And here is yet another Red Carpet with Hollywood Actress @blancablancoactress for Mine of Design — this time at the Venice Film Festival 2026.

There are moments in a designer’s journey that make you pause, take a breath, and quietly say, “Thank you, God.”

From an idea in my mind, to the hands of our artisans, to a piece of jewellery travelling across the world and finding its way onto a Red Carpet in Venice… it is a moment I will cherish deeply.

Every piece we create carries a little bit of our story — our love for design, craftsmanship, and the belief that jewellery can carry emotion, memory and a sense of who we are.

To see Mine of Design shine once again on such a global stage is both humbling and incredibly special.

God is kind. Dreams do come true. And sometimes, they take you places you never imagined. ✨

Here’s to #Venice.
Here’s to the #journey.
And here’s to many more moments of #magic.

Mine of Design ❤️
