Every visit with my mom @blancav520 I try to plan one main thing we do that we can look back on and say “remember we did……… on that visit!”
This one is pasta making and showing her the ropes of sourdough. She doesn’t get to see me in my element daily like most moms do with their daughters. So I have to jam it all into a week and hope for the best. While the roles may be reversed here, I loved kneading dough alongside my mom and showing her how easy it is to make fresh pasta with a homemade pomodoro sauce. A moment I will always treasure.
Spaghetti night for me is a bit more work as everything is homemade and prepped ahead of time. But so worth it.
Sourdough is next as I prep for this weeks orders and our main goal is to see how many sourdough items we can fit into her suitcase. 🫶

Always my favorite movie. 🎥
Just wish it never ended.
Always hard to say goodbye to family when they visit, but we look forward to the next ✈️ here with them on it.
From soccer practices, to swim meets, pool time, hikes, new and old food places, endless time around the table playing games, lots of 🐶 walks, and even the moments where no words were said, but smiles were made.
I used to wish this movie was different, but I’m grateful for all the memories created and new adventures we make that wouldn’t be possible had I stayed in Texas.

Introducing my family to unique spots we don’t otherwise have or know of back home is a must when family visits. Today I took my mom for tea and Turkish treats at @mycravingz . It was the best way to spend our last few days together.

I always make sure to add in a trail of some sort when my mom comes to visit. It’s definitely not her jam and she may let me know 100 different ways that she is done, but I know she secretly looks forward to it. It’s our little tradition.
It was also Nova’s first trail and she did amazing. 🤩

Happy birthday Mom (a day late), but your grandsons are wearing me down! @blancav520
I see so much of you in me and there isn’t a day that goes by where I wish you lived closer so I could follow you around. I’ve been holding your hand for 41 years now and I hope to hold it for another 41 years. I truly am the Apple from your tree and I hope I age as gracefully as you do! Love you Mom. Can’t wait to cook for you and wait on your hand and foot next month! 🤗

Shenandoah National Park ✔️
.
.
We viewed it at the highest elevation level (approx. 4,000 ft), we stopped by the Stoneyman Overlook to see the hike we’d be completing from afar, and then we completed the Stonyman Trail which had one amazing view. I’ve been waiting to do all this and so happy my mom was here to join us!

The shop is officially closed, cleaned, and vacuumed. Ended 2021 with a 30” nursery sign to make a mama happy. No better feeling than that.

Thank you to everyone who made 2021 successful, who supported my small business by orders, by likes, by shares, by referrals, by commenting, or even a text to tell me job well done. Thank you to my husband, mom, dad, brother, and to my kids for keeping me motivated to follow my dream. It’s been real.

I’m excited to fly back to Texas on Christmas Day to spend the rest of the year with my family and ring in the new year with those I love so much. .
