This sport has been one of the best things that have ever happened to me. Without it I wouldn’t even be close to the person I am now. I’ve made so many friends and connections and I am so grateful for everything I have been given and been through. I would like to thank everyone but first of all my teammates! Thank you to Gunner, Adam, Evan, Bo, Blum, Vern, Reagan, Matt, and all of the other teammates I had! Without you all I wouldn’t be here today and I wouldn’t love this sport as much as I do now. Thank you to all of my coaches! Coach Coenen, Coach Hammerand, Coach Ross, and Coach Finn without all of your life lessons, yelling, and support I would just be another kid on the team. You people made me work for what I wanted and truthfully that’s what I needed! Finally Thank you to the Woodbine Community! You guys don’t hear it enough from us but we are so thankful and grateful for all of you supporters who sit out in the cold and wet to watch and cheer us on! I know my team and I appreciate everything you do for us! This sport has done so much to me and my life and I am so thankful I have gone through the successes and struggles to become who I am now. As a final goodbye as a Woodbine Tiger, Hi I’m Owen Wingert and this is my final bye as a Tiger but in my heart I will always be here! Thank you Woodbine I will never forget everything that has come my way!

Thank you Woodbine for the the last 4 years. It has been a blast. There will always be a special place in my heart for you. Thank you to everyone who believed in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. Thank you to my coaches, family, and friends for helping along the journey. A special thanks to @ethan.hammerand. I would’ve always been that kid in the lunch room if it wasn’t for you. Thank you for showing me that I wasn’t just a NARP (non athletic regular person).

This year of cross country has been an absolute blast!! I’ve always hated running distance but it has been so fun with these people. I never thought that I would ever be relatively good at XC but my team believed in me and I believe in them. I’m so proud of everyone on my team and I’m so grateful to have them on my team. Thank you for all the great memories and such. Now it’s time for revenge tour in the spring!!

Solid way to end my career. 2nd individually and 3rd as a team again…
Proud of my boys and I for putting the work in to be back on the podium. We fell a little short of our goal but we still came home with a trophy. I would like to thank coach Hammerand for everything he has done for me and I am looking forward to my future in running. Just wait until the spring…
