Impressions from last week's Listening Session, which took place within Tolia Astakhishvili's exhibition 'Figure of the Child'. The session featured Keta Gavasheli, Blessed and blushing, and Dan Bodan.

Thank you to everyone who came along and listened closely to this special evening. Keta Gavasheli shared a sound and video work that bridged the distance between her and her mother while she was abroad. Blessed and blushing performed a live set drawing on collective memory, and Dan Bodan performed acoustic versions of songs from his forthcoming album Dog Album, which is about friendship and love.

Thank you to all the artists—it was magical!

This Thursday, September 24, from 7-10 pm, @mumok_vienna invites to a
LISTENING SESSION with @blessed.and.blushing , @dan_bodan and @ketagavasheli :

For one evening, mumok’s Level -2 turns into a stage for experimental music.

Sound moving between memory and presence, between tape, voice, and AI-generated sample, between euphoria and melancholy – layered, imperfect, at times fragmented, at times driving. Music to sit or lie down to, as much as to listen to closely and actively.

The Listening Session takes place within Tolia Astakhishvili’s exhibition Figure of the Child, within the hosting structures the artist has built for the space. Artists whose work extends Astakhishvili’s world in their own way invite you into a close and focused act of listening.

Entry: €10 regular / €8 reduced

‘Sunglasses Big Enough to Hide’ by @blessed.and.blushing

From ‘The Blessed Tapes’ which released in April of this year, a true masterclass of wizardry and a nostalgia wormhole of joyous sunshine

The music points to a clearly budding career, one that has already caught serious attention: the Paris-based artist’s track ‘High on Confidence’ was sample by ye on ‘MAMA’S FAVORITE’, from his album ‘BULLY’
