a little update for our pyt community 🖤

our annual service price increase takes effect november 15, reflecting adjustments to our team’s wages in alignment with provincial minimum increases, alongside rising product, supply, and operating costs.

we’ve worked together as a team to thoughtfully review our pricing, considering affordability, fairness to our artists, and what it takes to sustain our salon, while staying aligned with comparable services in our local industry.

we know the cost of living is rising for all of us. to everyone who makes room for pyt in their monthly budget: we see it, we appreciate it, and we never take it for granted. your support allows us to continue providing the quality, care, and creativity you come to us for.

as a thank you, appointments booked before november 15 for visits through december 31 will keep our current base pricing. this includes appointments already booked! any of these appointments rescheduled on or after november 15 will be subject to the updated pricing.

at your next visit, we encourage you to book your remaining appointments for the year to secure your preferred dates and current base pricing. updated pricing will be shared before november 15.

come spend the weekend with us in peguis first nation. 🩷

this weekend we had the privilege of providing manicure services at the women’s gathering, and our hearts are so full.

every time we’re invited back, we’re reminded how much love and care goes into these community events. from brows, braids, haircuts and wellness services to traditional and faith-based supports, a local tattoo artist, incredible prizes and so much more—every detail was centered around celebrating and promoting self care for the people in the community.

after being part of the two spirit gathering in june and the children’s & youth gathering earlier this month, it’s become something we genuinely look forward to. it is always an honour to serve alongside so many amazing people doing meaningful work.

thank you, peguis first nation, for your incredible hospitality and for trusting pretty young thing to be part of these special gatherings. we’re already looking forward to the next one. 🤍

what an honour it was to be part of the @amcmbchiefs Elders Gathering this week — offering manicures and gentle care to such beautiful souls 💖

many received their very first manicure ever, sharing stories, laughter, and wisdom from all walks of life — i had the privilege of painting pumpkins on a man who was bravely battling on going health issues & wanted to impress his grandkids in his remaining time here, a woman recalling her first night in a residential school at just seven years old and educating me with her first hand experiences over the 11 years in the system.. truly heartbreaking but very eye opening.. all the women who I sat with telling me about how much they were enjoying their time at the gathering made it such a honour to be apart of. it felt like the very least i could do for the hardships endured to build a place i call home.

we were surrounded by incredible energy, not only from the elders but from barbers and stylist we were working alongside — so much talent, compassion, and unity in one space and a playlist to keep the good vibes flowing 💈💅

we proudly acknowledge that this event took place on Treaty 1 Territory, the traditional lands of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and the homeland of the Métis Nation.

As non-Indigenous artists, we are deeply grateful for the welcome, trust, and warmth we felt serving this community🩷

- The unsuspecting duo approached this ride with excitement and enthusiasm before they were allegedly “whipped around for entertainment purposes”.
- Sources cite that when the pair were released from the equipment, they complained about physical strain, whiplash, “sudden powerlessness”, and the sunlight becoming brighter…
- Upon further review, they accepted a private refreshment remedy and returned to “testing” the other products.
